Sunset Beach Resort, Cape Charles, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Surrounded by a wildlife refuge and right near the Chesapeake Bay bridge. We loved staying here. Private beach that rents kayaks and chair/ umbrella, two pools, a dog park and dog beach, great restaurant, well equipped exercise room, gift and snack shop. We found the resort so fun and relaxing that we rarely left. They had great live music down at the beach area each weekend night. We camped at Sunset Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Jackson County Park, Scottsboro, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful park surrounded by Lake Guntersville. Full hook up, including cable, on clean level sites of very small hard pack gravel on lake front (back in) or lake view (pull thru) sites. There are a lot of monthly but they are maintained and the staff stay on top of any issues. The park is gated so be sure to call ahead for reservations and gate access. We camped at Jackson County Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is conveniently located to the pleasant town of Scottsboro. Be sure to have lunch at Carlisle's for great southern food on the buffet. Delicious Chinese food at Kim San is low priced and close. We enjoy shopping for groceries at the grocery store right outside the park.

Beautiful quiet park. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Good Verizon signal. Clean large sites. Lots of wildlife. Decent golf course and mini golf. Lodge has good food and friendly servers. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Victory RV Park and Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a difficult park to review. You can tell that the owners are RVers and know what is important but they have to work with what they have. Pros- The owners are committed to a good clean park. Good power and water pressure. Level well maintained sites. Quiet while we were there (there is a racetrack very close). Cons - a bit of a drive from anything (interstate, restaurants, etc.), dusty gravel roads, not much space between sites, owner stated 50 amp could not handle 3 a/c running. We camped at Victory RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Red Bay Downtown RV Park, Red Bay, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00

Best place to stay in Red Bay. Such nice folks that run it. Concrete lot instead on gravel like other places in Red Bay. Our dogs love the fenced in area that they can run around off leash. We camped at Red Bay Downtown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pictures on web site are very deceiving. Crowded with mostly permanent residents. Dirt sites that are not level. We could not fit in the site they assured we would fit into so we had to leave. We camped at Logan Landing RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Good place to stay on Lake Fork. We pulled a boat instead of a toad and they put our boat in the water for us. Beautiful views of the lake and abundant wildlife. Lots of fishing activity. Very good diner on site. We will return. We camped at Lake Fork Marina in a Motorhome.

Clean park. Level concrete pads. They allow use of the exercise room in the hotel to RVers. Bath house is not finished yet but they have temporary ones available. We enjoy staying here and will return. We camped at Sam's Town RV Park in a Motorhome.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $141.00

Clean and convenient but price is too high for the site unless you have children. All activities are geared to young kids. No Wi-Fi at the sites was very disappointing. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA, Harpers Ferry, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

We loved the area and views. The property was nice and clean. We don't like being charged additional fees on arrival. They added a pet fee and a "resort" fee. What resort?? Their answer was the pool, although the heater is broken so it is too cold to use. Still had to pay the fee though! They don't even pick up trash. The site that we were placed in didn't have cable or a concrete patio, like the reservation stated. We camped at Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA in a Motorhome.

Liberty Harbor RV Park, Jersey City, New Jersey

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are so close, if your neighbor gets off center, your slides almost touch. The bath house is old. But it earns a 10 for the view of Lady Liberty and the NYC skyline right out your window. The staff is so nice. They are very pet friendly. We enjoyed watching the yachts come in and out of the harbor. There is a wonderful diner within walking distance that was featured on Diners, Dives and Drive-ins. We camped at Liberty Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

For the price you would expect a much nicer property. Close dirt sites, no trash pick up and staff that leaves a lot to be desired. The regulars are allowed to leave dogs tied out and unattended. We would not return to this property. We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Motorhome.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

What a wonderful place! Immaculate bathhouse and grounds. Great staff. We had an issue with another camper letting their pit bull run lose and went to the front office to discuss. Management handled it for us and followed up at least twice to make sure that all was well. We had concern that the gravel might be difficult to level our big rig on but it is level and packed. Road is well maintained with no pot holes. We decided to stay in a 30 amp site so that we could enjoy a beautiful view out our front window of the lake and woods. Verizon has good service here. Be sure to eat breakfast/lunch on the island at McMahon's for good homestyle food and local character. Wegmans and Wal-Mart are a short drive and easy to swing by on your way back from the Falls. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Lazy Acres RV Park, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place to stay overnight, or for a few days since it isn't too far from I-75. Just a few miles to shopping and good eats. Quiet park that is not fancy: no clubhouse, pool or playground. Sites are level, hard packed gravel with no patios. Bathhouse is new and clean. Laundry is very clean. We camped at Lazy Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
