French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $73.00
Overall Rating:

A gorgeous and amazing RV park within two blocks of the French Quarter! We were welcomed at the gate by the manager and immediately escorted to our site. The Grey brick interior road and the red brick sites (with patios) are extremely pleasing to the eyes! The entire park is meticulously spotless. All of the staff members were so helpful in helping us out with our first time in New Orleans. I have to admit that I wasn't too certain I wanted to stay there when we first exited the interstate and entered a "not so welcoming" area of New Orleans! However, once we got to our site and settled in, we felt safe, secure and right at home. We look forward to staying here again and again! We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $83.00
Overall Rating:

Big beautiful park! We woke up every morning looking straight out into the Gulf of Mexico. Concrete sites, clean, greatly landscaped, super nice employees, well stocked store, etc. I could go on. We were escorted to our site and the park is secured with a pass-code entry gate. You are close to shopping malls, outlet malls, specialty shops and LOTS of restaurants. This is a "must stay" at park. We will return this coming winter! We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park and great employees! We felt very at home at this park! All of our camping neighbors were fabulous! The park is extremely clean and well landscaped. Right off a very busy main road in Fort Myers, but you would never know it! Very secluded and quiet! We will stay here again! We camped at Shady Acres RV & Camping Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Myers Beach RV Resort, Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This park is advertised as a KOA, but lacks everything you come to expect from a KOA campground. The manager and employees were extremely rude. We had reservations for several days and ended up leaving the same day we arrived. We were put in a site that could not accommodate our RV and they tried to blame us for it even though we made our reservations over the phone! In the short amount of time we were there, several of their permanent tenants told us the park has gone down hill since the new manager was assigned to the park. Also, this campground advertises their property is on the water. The ocean is no where near them. Pass this place by. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA, Sugarloaf Key, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful park. KOA 100%! The managers are a riot! They really make you feel at home and have some of the best workers! The place was really busy due to the Christmas holiday, but everyone we spoke to, while walking through the park, had nothing but good things to say about the place. It was fun to actually go to a "bar" right at the campground. You pay more for drinks than you normally would, but it's worth every penny not having to drive somewhere to get a cocktail! We will return every year to this park and we suggest you give them a try! We camped at Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Wildwood KOA, Wildwood, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Not what you expect from a KOA. The park is greatly worn down. The office smelled like a musty basement and did not have much inventory. All sites are grass sites - no concrete or rock. Nothing special about this place. Won't stop here again. We camped at Wildwood KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Forsyth KOA, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $45.00

A nice park. We were put in the newer sites in the back of the campground. It was nice and quiet! They offer the convenience of making pizza! We ordered our pizza and by the time we set our rig up, our pizza and jalapeno poppers were ready for pick up! What a bonus!! We will stay here again! We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
