Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely, wooded sites, and very helpful staff. Laundry and public bathrooms located only at main building, so are a good distance from many sites. Roadways are a bit tight, but manageable. We've stayed here several times. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp Bell Campground, Campbell, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We hosted a four-day rally here and the owner could not have been more accommodating! Large rec hall (upstairs, but there is a ramp as well as stairs), with plenty of tables and chairs. 25% discount at Corning Museum (2 day pass) available in office. Groups can request a tractor-pulled wagon ride to a nearby family restaurant...great fun! Wood can be purchased & in addition to fire rings at each site, there is a large fire ring for groups. There is a lovely pool. Location is very convenient. We camped at Camp Bell Campground in a Motorhome.

Lamb City Campground, Phillipston, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was brief. We got a pull-through site so we did not need to unhitch our towed vehicle. We did walk around & had a good impression of the place. Our interaction with staff was limited and very satisfactory. We camped at Lamb City Campground in a Motorhome.

Royal Mountain Campsites, Johnstown, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Although not conveniently close to the Thruway, this park is worth the drive, even for one night. It's a well-maintained, quiet, wooded setting, with a few pull-through sites which can accommodate large rigs. In our case, we did not want to unhitch our tow vehicle. Owners are terrific. It's "fun" to have ice cream within walking distance on a summer night. There are many well-kept seasonal sites around a lovely lake. Kids might become bored, for a long stay. Major down side is absence of dumping facilities. Mobile sewer service. We camped at Royal Mountain Campsites in a Motorhome.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Because we were looking for an overnight pull-through, this park was perfect for us. We arrived in the evening, the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We had a good experience. The AAA or Good Sam discount also appealed to us. Sites are beautiful and level. If you're looking for a quiet spot to kick back for a few days, maybe catch up on laundry, this could be it. We would return. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Motorhome.

Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA, Saco, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

The availability of printed info on local activities is the most complete and well-organized we've ever seen. Staff members abound and are very helpful. We stayed in the front section and in that area, at least, evening lighting was absent. Pricey if not a KOA "member," especially if just parking and not making use of all the many offerings within the campground. We'd stay again. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Gregoire's Campground's, Wells, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly & helpful staff. Convenient to I-95. Many local activities within driving distance, though the park itself offers few if any activities. Lots of open space for tenting groups. There seem to be no laundry facilities. Not sure about area laundromats, as we just waited to do laundry at our next stop. We'd stay again. We camped at Gregoire's Campground's in a Motorhome.

Harold Parker State Forest, North Andover, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here before and will again, since we have relatives nearby, and there are no other options as convenient for us. However, the sites are lovely but primitive. Parking is tight, so larger rigs should avoid. Outstanding locations for tents. We camped at Harold Parker State Forest in a Motorhome.

Flagler by the Sea Campground, Flagler Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Yes, it's like a parking lot, but you can hear the ocean!! We opted to pay extra for a spot close, but the beach is not a long walk from any site. For us, being able to walk on the beach with our dog (leashed, of course) is a major plus. Maybe when more crowded it would be less enjoyable, but we'd definitely try it again! We really like it! Folks in office are friendly & helpful. We camped at Flagler by the Sea Campground in a Motorhome.

The Oaks at Point South, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived on Thanksgiving, were warmly welcomed and invited to a feast. Since we had no food to contribute, we insisted on giving a donation, which we were told would be used toward the Christmas dinner. Owners were very helpful with directions. We were very glad we stopped here and will return! Location is conveniently close to I-95. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Motorhome.

Paris Mountain State Park, Greenville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful family campground! Spacious sites, though most are not quite level, and very friendly rangers. The location is out of the way, so not a good "quick stop," but for kicking back for a bit, it's ideal. We camped at Paris Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We were here for a few days in January 2008 & appreciated the wilderness, yet, using Truman Parkway, the access to Savannah. Returned in March, so I could easily attend a conference in Savannah, while leaving my family in a lovely spot. We agree with previous reviews. Both times we were here the campground was full! Sites can be muddy & the bugs annoying, but we'll be back! We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Motorhome.
