Claytor Lake State Park, Dublin, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We go here every year and very much enjoy our stay. The beach area is very clean and is monitored by life guards. They have a new paved trail from the campground down to the lake which is nice (don't have to ride bikes on road). The campground is quiet and shady. The bath house is always very clean. The lake is beautiful and there are plenty of nice areas for fishing. We camped at Claytor Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Watoga State Park, Marlinton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here Labor Day Weekend. The park is as the other reviewer stated "deep in the heart of WV". They don't have water hookups but the fill up station is very easy to access. The dump station was also very convenient. Our site was level and shady. I gave it an 8 only because the bath house wasn't that great. It was clean, but it was old and seemed a little "run down" to me. We would camp here again. We camped at Watoga State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Ridge RV Resort, Hillsville, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great time at this camp ground! Plenty to do for the kids (pool, water slide, golf, arcade). We were on the hill in the shady area. I was a little nervous about some of the sites, but we didn't have any problems getting in ours. We would go back again. We camped at Lake Ridge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
