Silver City RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Interesting campground with the concrete strips where the tires are suppose to go and then the rest of the site being gravel. Wi-Fi is "free". Have to go in and get a sheet with a user name a password for every 4 hours of use, but plans are to change that. They gave cable TV "free" to us also. Maybe because we were staying for nine days/nights. But with this price they both should be in with the price. The only other complaint other then the price, is the traffic noise. The farther back in the campground you can get no doubt will be better. We camped at Silver City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

McCloud RV Resort, McCloud, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice place other then the traffic. An ear plugs park to sleep at night. Lots of cable TV channels and the Wi-Fi was "free". Sometimes it was fast, sometimes not. Easy in and out with a 60 foot truck and trailer combo. We camped at McCloud RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of pull throughs. We were in one of the biggest sites in the park. Site 96. 90 ft long. Some of the other sites you can get a 40 ft rig on but your truck or car will have to sit sideways on the site or be parked someplace else. Close to Highway 101. The closer to the highway the more traffic noise you will hear. Train tracks run on the other side of the park. Can hear them go by and once in a while the horns. Satellite dishes: Depends on where you are parked. There are areas where trees will be a problem, but other areas that are satellite friendly. The park has way too many speed bumps. 16 channels of cable TV. No Wi-Fi at the trailer. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River Breeze RV Resort, Ehrenberg, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The entrance was interesting getting in with a HDT and 35 ft 5th wheel. Had to go into the incoming lane to make the turn so I won't run the trailer tires over the curb. It was Sunday, and the office was closed. Site was not level side to side and front to back. You have to have a code for the Wi-Fi, and there is a charge. I refused to pay for Wi-Fi. At the price they charge it should have been included. I agree with the last poster, getting out could be interesting with a "Big Rig" if there are lots of "toys" on the interior roads. We camped at River Breeze RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Dazzo's Desert Oasis (formerly Dazzo's Restaurant & RV Park), Wikieup, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Really no interior roads here, just sand. Sites are sand. But the park has a few big-rig, pull through sites. Nice Wi-Fi that works. There was a little road noise. I wasn't able to get into the one and only bathroom/shower: door was locked. Don't know where the new building was the other poster talked about. Good power and the water pressure went from good to low at times. We camped at Dazzo's Desert Oasis (formerly Dazzo's Restaurant & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Canyon RV Park and Campground, Panguitch, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here one week. This park has gravel roads and sites. Also has a picnic table at each site and a cover. There's some road noise from 6 AM to 11 PM. It has very, very low water pressure. Cable TV is available: some channels come in clear while others don't. We camped at Red Canyon RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Location is great, price isn't. Nice big rig sites. Had Wi-FI, but wasn't able to get it at site #165 which was only two rows from the office. Put up our outdoor Wi-Fi antenna. In the past all RV parks once we get this antenna up we can get 54 Mbps. Here we could only get 11.0 Mbps. Was still hit and miss. At least the power and water pressure were excellent. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Golden Spike RV Park, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Like others say: very tight sites. The interior roads are only one-laned making getting into the tight sites even harder for a big-rig. We were in site #1 which was on the end so that helped, but the site is set up for a motorhome, not a 5th wheel trailer. Either have to pull all the way forward, unhitch and park the truck behind the trailer or have at least 30 plus foot of power cord, water hoses and sewer hoses. Wasn't able to get their Wi-Fi at site #1. Not even the hot spot showed up on our computer. We put up our external Wi-Fi antenna and got it that way. Have to wear ear plugs to sleep at night for the road noise, or have some kind of white noise. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

High Adventure River Tours RV Park, Hagerman, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

They do have Wi-Fi here. The antenna is located down at the office/store. it is the only antenna I could see in the whole park. We couldn't get it at site #15 without our external Wi-Fi antenna. I did like the big pull through sites. 12 sites are 50 amp FHU and 14 are only 30 amp, electric, and water. Have to use the dump in the morning. But still very easy to get around with a BIG rig. Did hear a little interstate noise. A lot of it will depend on which way the wind is blowing. We camped at High Adventure River Tours RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice BIG pull thru sites. Easy in easy out with a big rig. Wi-Fi was excellent at site #61. Did sleep with the windows open and was very quiet. Did hear two trains go by 1/2 mile away but no horns. We camped at Grande Hot Springs Resort (formerly Eagles Hot Lake RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 5 days/nights. Asphalt roads and either gravel or concrete sites. Wi-Fi is awesome. Faster then our sat. internet Hughsnet. Lots of Cable TV channels. Road noise isn't bad at all at night. Very quiet after 10 PM. Owner is very nice and helpful. Came out when we were packed up and ready to leave and wished us safe travels. We camped at Rogue Valley Overniters RV in a Fifth Wheel.

A little pricy, but I still liked it. The gravel sites I think are better then the asphalt. More level. Very quiet here. Nice hiking trails near by. Easy in and out with a HDT and 35 ft trailer. We camped at Cal Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yosemite Westlake Campground & RV Park, Coulterville, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Price with Passport America. The best thing this campground has going for it, is it's 25 miles from Yosemite National Park and has full hook ups. No reception with Verizon, lots of shade trees for the satellite. They say they can handle big rigs. Do have a couple big rig sites, but the access roads are in need of repair. Lots of holes and dips. The big rig sites are only 30 amp, but yet some of the smaller sites have 50 amp. The sites are terraced. We were in site Q, it was very unlevel side to side and front to back. I checked out the bathhouse. Like the access roads, are in need of repair. We camped at Yosemite Westlake Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort), Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced for 30 amp. Not really big rig roads in and out of this campground, lots of trees and boulders to be careful of. Was tight getting our 25 ft heavy duty truck and 35 ft trailer in and out. The pull through sites are back to back sites. Has gravel roads and sites. The sites are close together so you have to like your neighbors. Very quiet at night. If you have a motorhome there are sites you can pull straight into and see the river through your windshield. Cable TV is excellent. Has Wi-Fi but have to go up to the office. We camped at Sequoia Campground & Lodge (formerly Kaweah Park Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Rig sites if you take up two sites, otherwise not. Nothing fancy. There is train noise. Gravel roads and sites. They want you to park 1 1/2 feet from the hook ups. We camped at Spaceport RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
