Wassamki Springs, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

The place we had reservations was screwed up and didn't have a site big enough for us. This campground had a big enough site for us. We were in site #I21. They are a little pricy. We didn't like the low branches of the trees that line down the driveway. They have speed bumps. The water pressure is poor. The campground is made up of two sections. One is more like a state park. Lots of trees, lots of screaming kids, lots of smoky campfires. The second section which we were in has less trees, (satellite friendly) less kids and way less campfires. We camped at Wassamki Springs in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners still need to take care of the potholes. Water pressure was so-so. But electric was great. Nice quiet place. Free Wi-Fi could get at the trailer. Easy in and easy out. We camped at Hospitality Woods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean Surf Travel Park, Pointe-du-ChĂȘne, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 5 nights. Mostly seasonals. But very friendly people. Was lead to our site by golf cart. Gravel/paved interior roads. Gravel/grass sites. Gated entrance. Was in site #36. Had side by side hook ups of electric and water. Electric was excellent, water was excellent to poor. "Free" Wi-Fi was worthless. Lots of campfires. Very quiet after 10:30 PM until around 8 AM. We camped at Ocean Surf Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Annapolis River Campground (55+ park), Bridgetown, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed a week. Pull thrus are 30 AMP only. Back ins are 30/50 AMP. Campground has gravel roads and grass sites. The back in site #8, that we were in was very unlevel side to side. Electric was good, water pressure was good. Very quiet, even on the weekend when the place was booked. Within walking distance to the grocery stores. Lots of friendly people here. They do have Wi-Fi and Cable TV for a charge. They also charge for electric heat. Also has pay showers. Lots of little charges. We camped at Annapolis River Campground (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Wayside Campground, Glen Margaret, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

When the wife made reservations she asked for a 85 ft. pull thru with 50 AMP. Was told no problem. Got there and was put in a back in with 50 AMP. Good thing because the pull thrus are to small for "Big Rigs". We were in site #149. Stayed 10 days/nights. Easy in and out of the site #149 with our HDT and 35 ft trailer. Can wash your RV here. There is a road that runs along side, but it's quiet in the evenings and nights, except once in a while a motorcycle that needs new quieter pipes may go by. Wasn't able to get the "free" Wi-Fi at the trailer but they do have a hot spot by the office. Our electric was fine, but as the other poster says, the water pressure is low. I do agree with that statement. The restrooms by the office are nasty. Never checked out the showers, used our own. We camped at Wayside Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground, Baddeck, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We were here a week. Overpriced for what you get. We reserved a pull thru, but when getting there was put into a back in. Site #221. Was told the site we reserved, the people in it wanted to stay longer, so the management was letting them stay. The back it was back to back with another RV and shared electric and water. But both were fine during our stay. In fact a lot of the pull thrus are to small for a "Big Rig". A lot of the pull thrus need some major branch cutting. The Wi-Fi was hit and mostly miss but better then nothing which is what we had since our satellite internet provider doesn't reach this far. There is a Wi-Fi "Hot Spot" by the laundry room, with tables. This is a easy in easy out for a HDT and a 35 ft trailer if you are parked in the back ins. We camped at Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel interior roads and grass sites. Nice and quiet. Campground owner has a RV shop on site. Only complaint, other than over priced for what you get, was low water pressure. We camped at Elm River RV Park in a Motorhome.

White Birches Camping Resort, Shelburne, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Gravel interior roads and grass sites. Fifty percent of the sites are taken by seasonals. Easy in and out with a HDT and 35 ft trailer. Very quiet at night even with Highway 2 being along side of this campground. Train tracks are a couple miles away. Only heard them doing the day. Owners were very friendly. Only complaint was the low water pressure. Did tell the owners about it, but nothing was done. We camped at White Birches Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Barber Homestead Park, Westport, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one week. Over 70% of the sites are seasonal. Lots of low branches. It does have big rig sites but not big rig roads in and out of the campground. Had some problems getting around with our HDT and 35 ft trailer. Roads are gravel and sites are grass/gravel mix. Cell phone reception with Verizon was poor. They do have a phone in the rec room can be used with a calling card. Very quiet campground even on the weekend when it was full. Lots of very friendly people. We camped at Barber Homestead Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Niagara Hartland RV Resort, Gasport, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one week. Easy in and out with a HDT and a 35 foot trailer. They do have 50 AMP for an extra $5.00 a night. They also charge for electric usage. But the cost was still only $19.45 a night having to pay for electric and using Passport America. Very quiet except on the weekend. Kids were noisy past 11 PM. Did have low voltage on hot day. We had to shut down our A/C and put our refrigerator on propane. Did tell the man in the office about it. Does have some low branches that need to be cut back. We camped at Niagara Hartland RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

River Trail Crossing, Butler, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 4 nights using Passport America. Has grass sites and paved interior roads. Has 3 very large pull thrus, the rest are back ins. Lots of trees for shade. Has a swimming pond. A river along side of the campground. Also a biking and hiking trail. We didn't have any problems getting in or out with our HDT and 35 foot 5th wheel trailer. Very quiet here. Might be noisier if parked closer to Highway 97. Only complaints are low water pressure for a shower and on the way out needs to cut back a branch or two. We camped at River Trail Crossing in a Fifth Wheel.

Kamp Komfort RV Park & Campground, Carlock, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

$13.00 for 30 amp, water, sewer with Passport America. Very skinny road to campground. We were in site #6. Right next to I-74, bring ear plugs. On the other side is train tracks. Water was undrinkable. Hadn't passed some test. Notice on the front door. Side by side electric. Needs more gravel on sites and roads aren't made for big rigs. Branches need to be cut back. Water pressure was low. We camped at Kamp Komfort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
