This park is easy to access from I-10. It is fairly close to the Camping World and Holiday World stores in Katy. The sites are compacted dirt/gravel and are relatively level. The sites are a bit tight and there are no picnic tables. We actually set our outdoor chairs in front of the motorhome, as there was virtually no room to sit out on the side of the RV. The electrical box at our site looked a little rough, but all checked out and it functioned fine. There are quite a few permanent residents here, but everyone was friendly and the park was very quiet. The staff at the office was very friendly. This is an okay stop if overnighting or spending a couple of days in the Houston area.

We stayed here for an overnight stop while traveling I-10. The sites are all gravel and ours was extremely level. We had a pull-through which was long enough for us to park without unhitching the toad. The electrical and water hook-ups were in excellent condition. Our site also had a very nice picnic table on a concrete pad. We did not use any of the park amenities, but the pool looked very nice and clean. There is no shade at the RV sites, but you are in the Chihuahuan Desert, so that is to be expected. Other posts have mentioned that you can hear highway noise, which is true, but it did not bother us. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The condition and cleanliness of this park and facilities is great. I would highly recommend stopping here if you are in need of a park while traveling through far west Texas on the interstate.

This is a really nice park located in a remote area surrounded by pine trees. Be sure to stock up on groceries in Las Vegas, because there are no stores located near the park. The road from Sapello to the park is a bit narrow and winding, but no problem if you take it slow. We had a really nice back-in site and were fortunate to be able to get a satellite signal from our roof mounted dome. Water pressure, electricity, and Wi-Fi were good. We met several of the permanent residents and all were really friendly. The office staff was also friendly. My only complaint with this park is that there were several permanent houses (cabins?) located near the office area and all seemed to have floodlights that were lit 24/7. This interfered with the ambiance of being in a dark wooded area and seemed to shine in your eyes when attempting to enjoy the stars at night. I wish they would exercise dark sky etiquette like many other communities. We will stay here again.

This is a great no-frills overnight stop on IH-20. The owner/host is very friendly and lives on the property. The sites are level gravel pull throughs. The Wi-Fi worked great. We paid with a personal check and were charged $20. Be advised that there are no stores or late night restaurants near the area. We traveled 1/2 mile to the Loves truck stop for pizza. There are no trees, so not any shade but good for satellite reception. I would highly recommend this park for an overnight stay.

We spent a couple of nights at this campground which is located just north of San Antonio. The staff was friendly and the park was very quiet. The roads have quite a few potholes and there are numerous speed bumps installed throughout the campground. Our site was a gravel pull-through which accommodated our motorhome and toad, however the site was not very level. The site contained a small covered shelter with a picnic table, which was very nice. The water hookup was located in the far front of the site and required the use of two hoses in order to make the connection. The Wi-Fi was generally good, but would slow down considerably during peak usage periods. The bathrooms, showers and laundry areas were very clean and well maintained. There were lots of permanent residents here and they were all very nice and friendly. I would stay here again.

This is a beautiful park with lots of trees and a creek. It is right in town and is convenient to nearby tourist sites. We stayed in an "executive" site, which was very large and located next to the creek. The park is extremely quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly. I would have given it a 10, but the Wi-Fi service leaves a lot to be desired. It is very slow and sporadic. I hope they resolve this, as dependable Wi-Fi is now a requirement for most RV'ers. We will definitely return for another stay.

This is a very nice and clean park. All of the sites are asphalt. We had a pull through which was long enough for our rig and toad. It was a bit unlevel, but we were able to level using our jacks. A motorhome located two sites down from us had to use blocks under the rear wheels and jacks in order to get level, so choose your site carefully. This park definitely has a corporate feel. We heard a couple of trains each night, but did not find them to be a problem. My only complaints were of the long wait times while making telephonic reservations and the poor signage directing people to the appropriate check in center at the store.

This is a quirky little park, which is adjacent to a mobile home area. The pull through sites are extremely long and ours was very level. The Wi-Fi, cable, and utilities were very good. The staff was friendly. We did not check out the bathrooms/showers. You could hear the train from this park, but it was not loud enough to keep me up at night. My only complaint was the traffic that entered and exited from the mobile home area at what I deemed to be a high rate of speed. This park is appropriately named, as it is "OK" for a one or two night stay while visiting the petrified forest and other local sites.

I liked this campground. It was very neat and clean, and the workers were very friendly. The majority of the park is gravel, which they rake and water each day. The sites have concrete "runners" for the wheels of your rig, and our site was very level. The park is easy to get to from the interstate, but is far enough away that you don't hear highway noise. The view of the city lights at night from the park mesa is very nice. The cable TV was nice, as our satellite dome was blocked by a tree. As mentioned in previous reviews, the sites are a bit close together, but it was fine for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here because the location is near Hwy 1604. Beware of the internet directions listed for arrival from Loop 410, as they are not accurate. This park appears to be mainly permanent residents. Site pads are concrete, but many are far from being level. Lots of trees and tight roads can make manuevering a challege. One odd thing is all of the pads have a 3-4 inch raised lip from the roadway. Most of the permanent campers have placed boards between the pad and the road to make the transition smoother when arriving and departing from the site. I did not have problems wirh this, but one should approach and depart their site using care. The park location is very near Sea World and shopping. Additionally, the park was very quiet.

This was our second stay at this park. The last time we were here on the weekend and it was "party central" with lots of loud music and golf cars everywhere. This time we stayed during the week and it was very pleasant and quiet. This is a really clean facility with concrete pads and roads. One problem encountered was that we lost all water one morning at about 8:00am. My neighbor said he contacted the front office and was advised that they had turned off the water in order to perform maintenance. It would have been nice to receive some warning from the office if they knew they were turning off the water, as this occurred during the morning when people are showering and preparing breakfast, etc. This facility has the potential to be one of the best parks in the country, but they are just missing a couple of key elements. With all of that said, we will stay here again, but will continue to avoid it on the weekends.

This is a really nice park on the outskirts of Weatherford. All roads and sites are concrete and there are plenty of shade trees. The office staff is some of the friendliest ever encountered. We will definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay here. Great location near shopping and restaurants. Yes, it's a big parking lot, but it is set up very nice. This is the best place to park if you are in the Birmingham area.

This is a small park on the outskirts of town. We called ahead from the road, as we were arriving after dark, and the manager advised of the location of our spot and had it marked with a cone so that we could easily find it. This park is extremely clean, as are the showers and laundry room. It was very easy to maneuver in the park with our 35 foot motorhome and toad. The staff is some of the friendliest we have ever encountered. They really make you feel welcome and appreciated. I read another review about train noise, but we never heard any trains. The only issue we had was that we could not get the cable TV to work. I am not sure if it was an issue with the service or with our rig. We will use this park again on our travels on I-20.

This is a very nice KOA. The staff is extremely friendly and they escort you to your site. This is a family park and there are lots of activities for kids. Excellent Wi-Fi and all utilities were in good order. Rates were a little on the high side, but we would probably stay here again.
