Bit-O-Heaven RV & Mobile Home Park, Donna, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park is nice. Wireless internet is poor. There are a few wireless antennas in the park, but with the volume of RV's and park models, getting connected can be difficult, and staying connected can also be challenging. Cable TV connection is available, but you have to contact local cable company for hookup and pricing. Winter pricing rates are $874.50 including trash for 3 months. Electricity not included. There are actually over 800 spaces within the park. Gates are closed at night, so security is good. The library is excellent with thousands of books, some VHS tapes, lots of puzzles, and magazines. Plenty of activities and entertainment. Internet and cable TV kept us from giving a higher rating. We camped at Bit-O-Heaven RV & Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rose Valley RV Ranch, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV park. At our particular site we could not extend the awning due to a railroad tie standing straight up from the ground. The only drawback to the park was when the grass was mowed, stones were thrown against the RV and truck, causing chips/scratches in the paint/fiberglass surfaces. The owner did accept responsibility, but the area could have been mowed when the site was empty. All roads and sites were gravel. We camped at Rose Valley RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good Park with gravel/dirt roads and some trees. Office staff very friendly and courteous. Kid friendly with the goats and miniature horses. Cable TV and Wireless internet was good. Not far from Carlsbad caverns. Would definitely stay again, if in the area. Sites were very close to each other. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Hidden Valley RV Resort, Tijeras, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park off I-40, but quiet. Pull-thru site was very narrow, but long. Nice friendly staff. We only stayed one night, without reservations. We had to leave the next day, as the annual balloon festival was under way, and no availabilities for that period. Something to consider if you plan on staying during the first part of September. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mount St Helen's RV Park - KOA, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America park. Nice park. Has grassy sites on hills. It was wet from heavy rains, which made backing uphill into the grassy site a little challenging. Gravel roads. Site was short and a little narrow. Close to Mt. St. Helens.. Staff was very friendly. We camped at Mount St Helen's RV Park - KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
