Tallahassee RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

My first observation regarding the park is that it's tight, very tight. Seems like they want to squeeze ever rv as close together as possible to maximize profits. When you extend your awning and it almost touches the other rig, then that's close...This is a very clean and well kept park with 66 channels on tv and super fast wifi. You can tell they take pride in their park, yet I can't get past being so cramped up. Nice place for an overnight if you can squeeze in! We camped at Tallahassee RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grassy Pond FamCamp (Open to the Public), Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A military park but open to the public. Very spacious sites though most are tree covered and sites seem level. As you approach the camp rv sites are to your right and if you proceed a little farther on your left are most are pull-through, these are what you want. Very nice and satellite friendly. Sites are NOT reserved, first come first site. Great fishing lake with lots of activity and very family friendly. Also includes boat marina with fishing piers, snack shop. Need a Moody fishing pass at $2.00 a day. Wifi works marginal if that, no cable. Will come back.. We camped at Grassy Pond FamCamp (Open to the Public) in a Fifth Wheel.

Laura S. Walker State Park, Waycross, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, yet we chose a bad spot in opinion. Narrow back in spot, no view, treed so no satellite. If I was to stay again it would be on the lake, everything is open and the view is great! Other than that is a good park. Over the air TV is marginal, no wifi. Very clean and neat.. Booked for three days but stayed for one day only...Reason just didn't like my site. Was full so no moving.... We camped at Laura S. Walker State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whispering Pines Campground, Rincon, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Not a resort by all means. Crowded with rv's very close. Choose a site without sewer for $24 otherwise it would have been $40 for a site. Only there for 3 days, didn't make much since to charge that much extra for sewer. Connection pole for my 50 amp was bent over like someone hit sometime before but never fixed. Also had to run all connection under my rv to connect cause power pole was on wrong side. Good side people were friendly, laundry room was very clean and modern, wifi and cable decent.. We camped at Whispering Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Petersburg COE, Appling, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park is outstanding! Very spacious campsites, many pull-through...Some sites are on the water others have a water view. Restrooms and showers are clean. Very quiet and inviting. No Wi-Fi or sewer on site. Verizon was very good. Too many trees for my satellite but did pick up some local channels. Will return! We camped at Petersburg COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Gate Campground & RV Resort, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second trip to Red Gate. To me prices are a little high but the closest to historic downtown Savannah. Well spaced spots, all grass. Easy in and easy out. Used to be an old dairy farm back in the day. Full of horses, goats, chickens all fenced in for your viewing...Very cool! We camped at Red Gate Campground & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ho-Hum RV Park, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Camped right on the ocean, very cool. Nice people, easy access. You can walk your pets right on the beach. About 3 miles or so from town. Only bad thing I can think is the cable TV was very fuzzy and could not be corrected. Would camp here again. We camped at Ho-Hum RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cody's Catfish Pond and RV Park, Weeki Wachee, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here for a weekend get away. Thought I heard dueling banjos as we entered the campground. The first impression was not good. Very old and unfinished buildings, from a proposed mermaid fountain setting on a boat on the shoreline, unfinished; to a bridge not complete. Very old and ratty permanent RV sites. On and on. On the bright side: people were very friendly, and the owner kept saying he was fixing the place up and taking care of the above mentioned. All and all would not camp here again. We camped at Cody's Catfish Pond and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Cove, Alba, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

At first glance I didn't like the park. Yet the park won me over by the friendliness of the staff and the people staying at the park. Asphalt roads, good spacing between RVs. Most people are permanent or just visit on weekends. Owners are very friendly and willing to help. Overall the park does need TLC but would stay again. We camped at Lakeside Cove in a Fifth Wheel.

It's just an OK park. I say this because there was nothing there to make me want to come back. Overall cleanliness of the park was marginal. Camped in a fifth wheel and was out the next day We camped at Oak Ridge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
