Capulin RV Park & Camp, Capulin, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

A cool spot when heading to Colorado from Texas. The volcano monument is about 2-3 miles away and is worth at least a few hours to a day of exploration. The park itself is fine, but has few features beyond the utilities and restrooms. There's not much else nearby. We camped at Capulin RV Park & Camp in a Motorhome.

Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort, Creede, Colorado

Great city and area. Very nice park. They have more than the 97 spots if you count the condo area too. Most of those spots can be used if their owners aren't there. We camped at Mountain Views at Rivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Elk Valley RV Park and Fly Shop (Closed), La Veta, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I wanted to stop in La Veta but the other parks were full due to a large group bike ride. I got a reservation here and was glad the other places were full so that I ended up here. It's small, but very nice and quiet. It's across the road from a golf course and has stupendous views of East and West Spanish peak. There's not a lot of recreation in the park, but you're only 4 or 5 blocks from town. Free Wifi. We camped at Elk Valley RV Park and Fly Shop (Closed) in a Motorhome.
