Easy on and off I-40/I-55. Awesome view of the river and barges. It was worth the extra to be parked right on the banks of the Mississippi. Yes it could be paved and be a little more spruced up but you have to remember they do get flooded.... Staff was friendly and loved the benches on the banks.

Not sure why all the good comments on this park????... First of all if they did not list it as a resort and did not list it as big rig friendly I would not have stopped here. For a State park it is ok but do not say it is a resort. First of all it is very tight to get around in. I had a very hard time getting my 36' 5th wheel turned around at the end of the full hook up loop. The sites are also very short and many are hard to get into with a larger RV. Now once you are in the water hook up is a long way off, so make sure you have lots of hose. I have a 75' and a 50' hose and used all of it. This is the case for a lot of the sites. Also they have a sign saying if there is a yellow tag on the post the site is reserved. Almost all the sites had yellow tags??? We were there Tuesday night ....the yellow tags were for the weekend??????? Now lets discuss the copperhead problem. Evidently it is severe enough they have a sign up advising you to not go out at night with out lights to the point they will loan you a flashlight if you don't have one????????? I'm not sure if this is the reason the shower houses were closed or not.

Good place to visit Phoenix. Clean and well kept. People and staff was friendly. My only problem with it was the streets and lots are very tight. It's made for park models so backing a 5th wheel into some sites is challenging. Also be sure to have an extra sewer hose since one 20 ft section will not reach...

Very nice campground and very nice staff. Great place to overnight with lots of pull thru's. The only reason I could not give it a 10 was the abundance of sand spurs. I know it is hard to get rid of them but the poor dogs had a heck of a time with them and have them in my carpet now...But would probably stop there again since most likely all the campgrounds in the area have them..

Great stop over campground with large pul thru's and easy access from I-10 and truckstops at the exit and right behind a Camping World in case you need parts... It's all gravel but very clean and utilities are well lit for when you arrive late.

As has been stated, rather over priced for camping. But we arrived 10 minutes after closing. Didn't see the after-hours sign in box, right away. Lady inside just looked at me and went about her business, without even pointing to it. One of the other workers outside came up and showed it to me. I chose a 50 amp pull through site, so I would not have to disconnect. Well the site I picked out, was definitely not a pull through one. Was lucky that another site was available. I moved, but it was still tight. Other then that, everything was fine.

For what it is I would give the park high marks. That is, it is a place to stay while visiting the area. As was said before, lots of workers and permanents, but no problems and my neighbors were all friendly. It is mostly gravel with lots of trees. Cable was great and no, there is no shutoff or breaker in the box for electric. Just shut down your trailer before plugging in. But is pretty much in the middle of Jonesboro so its great if your visiting there.

Nice campground for visiting the area or as we did for an over night. Check in lady was friendly and helpful. Everything worked as it should and the pull through sites were plenty long enough and easy access. It was just off the hwy and had to pass McDonald's on the way out for breakfast.

Fairly basic park with many work campers right off the interstate. Large no frills sites with plenty of room to stay hooked up. The staff was friendly as were the neighbors. A good place to overnight.

The people at the park were very friendly and did their jobs well. The park was clean and well taken care of. They had people at night on golf carts making rounds to deter any unwanted activity. It has very nice pools and hot tub. One was adults only which was nice. The only problems was the sites are narrow. You had to really position your rig well if you wanted to put out both your slides and your awning. Some folks could not. We will still definitely camp there again.

This is a nice, quiet park with large spacious sites. The owners and help were very friendly and accommodating. The only unpleasant problem is the sand spurs. If the park had a pool and could get rid of the sand spurs it could be a 9 at least.

Our second visit to this park could have been a disaster. We were driving in from Ark. and phoned ahead for reservations. When we arrived we were escorted to our site which was occupied. Here thru a computer mix up our site was already taken. After driving 500 miles we thought we were out of luck, but the staff was was excellent and on the ball. They set us up at the boat launch which we could get water and electric. We were satisfied but they insisted to let us stay there for free because of the mix up. We will continue to stay here when visiting DFW, just be sure to call since they are usually full.

This is not a camping type of park. It is for winter Texans, for overnighting and for a base station for visiting the area. The sites are very tight. On most back in sites you will be 1 foot from the back of the RV behind you. The shower houses are clean but not the greatest I have seen. There is no privacy in the shower area. They also have a serious fire ant problem and most sites have very little grass. On the other hand the folks that camp there and the ones that run the campground are very friendly. It is close to downtown Fredericksburg. If I am going down for the weekend I would stay here again.

As far as State parks go it is excellent. A nice large lake with lots of fish. Not a lot to do in the area unless you do fish or swim unless it is 1st Monday and you head into Canton for the flea market. Sites are large and you are not on top of one another. We did wish the shower house was heated as it was in the 20's. But the staff was very friendly and everything was clean.

This is a good park to visit if the state parks are full and you want to be close to the action. Camping here you will be 15 minutes away from the Ball Park at Arlington, the new Texas football stadium and 6 Flags. There are alot of full timers and work campers there. The sites are very close together and very little grass. My water connection was only 4 inchs off the pad and the sewer is right beside it. But the pool looked very nice and the bathrooms and the showers were some of the nicest I have seen at an RV park. The folks running the park were friendly and accommodating. And I will probably camp here again.
