This is our 3rd visit to this park. We have always been impressed with its cleanliness. It is constantly being maintained. There are miles of bicycle trails, fishing, boat rentals. This park is located 12 minutes from Charleston. Great location - great place!!!!

This is our second visit to this park... We find it to be one of the most beautiful of the Florida State Parks. The only reason that I would not give it a 10 is because the restrooms have a ceiling fan on at all times and keep the area VERY cold. Since the weather for February was unusually cold, it was not the best spot to take a shower. Everything though was kept very clean and well maintained. We will definitely return.

We were in site #20, in the middle of the CG. We found the location of the excellent for visiting Manchester, Dorset etc. It is a small, quiet, well-maintained campground. We would definitely return to this spot.

Beautifully maintained campground with sites to suit all tastes. We preferred to have some shade so we were in sites D-3 and D-4. Many of the sites are in an open field. The owners are very amenable and eager to please. We were VERY close to Cooperstown. We would definitely return there.

We were not aware of how noisy the sites were that backed up to the road. I would suggest avoiding sites 12/13. The restrooms were kept clean and the park was in a convenient location but the road noise but LOUD.

This is a very efficiently run campground, located on the North Fork, very east end of Long Island. The staff is friendly and very diligent about making sure everyone follows the rules. We were there over Father's Day and there were a myriad of great activities for children. There was DJ music by the main office in the late afternoon on Sat. night, fire engine rides around the CG on Sat. AM, a pancake breakfast on Sun. AM. There were grass sites, many filled with those staying for an extended period of time. Those sites on the back perimeter, which were tent sites with 20 AMP electric, were beautifully shaded. Great campground in an area with lots to do.

Convenient spot but a bit worn down.

A beautiful campground, restrooms and sites well-maintained. The sites are very private and wide. There are so many things to do - rentals of kayaks/canoes/wind surfing, the beach is a bike-ride away, there are nature hikes and of course St. Augustine is a ten-minute car ride from the campground. This is a favorite of ours and we will definitely return.

What a spot!!! Many waterfront sites where one has easy access to launch a kayak or a canoe. The campground is very close to the beach (a bike ride away). Other amenities i.e. shopping, library...are a distance away but truly, this place is a GEM.

Date of Stay:

A fun campground with many activities that are geared more for the above-50 crowd. Super location on Estero Blvd: only a bike ride from grocery shopping and the library. We had a site on the "park-side" which was a bit less expensive but there are beautiful sites DIRECTLY on the gulf. Kayaking is available in nearby Lovers Key. Great area with LOTS to do. But you pay the price for being in an area like this.

Sites are a bit small, but the waterfront sites have a view that is quite impressive (worth the extra cost). Cedar Key is a gem, and this campground is a bike ride from town and the rest of the island. We would definitely go back to this spot.

A beautiful park just outside of a wonderful small town. The restrooms were a year old so they were in impeccable condition. The campground offered so many wonderful things to do - nature hikes and talks, biking, beach area that is beautiful, the fort to hike to and visit. All in all this is on our list of favorite campgrounds.

Very friendly staff. Park is kept very nicely. Not far from beaches. Conveniently located on Kings Highway. We would return there.

This was an okay park in a barely populated area of Florida. The lake at the park is almost totally dried up because of the drought. The ravine is an interesting hike but I would not return because it had no interesting or convenient places to bike to.

This campground is very efficiently run. The check-in was easy, we were escorted to our site. The only disappointment was to hear upon check in that there would be an additional $5 fee for using the dump station. Other than that, the CG is located within five minutes from the town of Greenport, from the ferry to Shelter Island and is very close to the beautiful North Fork of LI. We will definitely return there.
