Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We just returned from this campground and we were less than thrilled with our experience. The campground is nothing exciting. It has no cable and you have to pay a fee for really slow WiFi service. The location to Charleston is pretty good but the road it is off of is busy and there is a lot of road noise in the campground. The people that work at the campground are not very friendly and they are FREAKS about the speed limit. Trust me when I tell you, they have nothing better to do than to chase you down in a golf cart to tell you that you are driving too fast (when you weren't). None the less, we won't be making a return trip to this campground. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We camped at Skidaway State Park this weekend for the first time and really enjoyed it. The location is good. There is easy access to Savannah and River Street. You do get to pick your own site, so the earlier you get there in the day the better. We arrived about 12:30 and got a nice site (#50). The only complaint we had is that upon leaving this morning, the dump station had a line five or six deep. We decided to dump somewhere on the way home instead of wait out the crowd. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we will go back. We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

By far this is my favorite campground ever! We love everything about this place. We are Disney freaks and Fort Wilderness is a beautiful campground. The sites are spacious and the cleanest we have ever seen. The opportunity to rent golf carts and bikes is wonderful. We love being able to catch the boat to the Magic Kingdom. I can't say enough good things about this campground. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Jekyll Island Campground, Jekyll Island, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We did not enjoy this campground. We thought it was not kept up well and there were tons of kids in the streets. It rained the entire weekend and the sites were under water. All our stuff was floating by the time we needed to pack up. The staff does show you to your site, but that is about it. We don't plan on going back. We camped at Jekyll Island Campground in a Travel Trailer.
