Naples / Marco Island KOA, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $105.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced and cramped, no wifi (service was down). Certainly wouldn't recommend for an overnighter, may be a better value by the month. We camped at Naples / Marco Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Bismarck KOA, Bismarck, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park, good over nighter for kids as they have a pool and a couple of small playgrounds. The Wi-Fi is good (when I checked in and asked about the Wi-Fi, she admitted they had lots of problems with it, and finally had a cable replaced). We are pretty close to the office, so that may make a difference. We have full strength and good speed. We camped at Bismarck KOA in a Motorhome.

Spokane KOA, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

If you have little kids, this is a great campground. I gave it a low rating because they showed an outdoor movie after dark, and it went well after 10 p.m. I could hear it even after turning on a fan and a humidifier. Also low rating because there was no WiFi, it was broken, they said. And also there were piles of dog poo at our campsite from the pug next door to us. They didn't keep it on a leash, and from the numbers of poo, they had been here for a few days. We camped at Spokane KOA in a Motorhome.

Toutle River RV Resort, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground with level spots, fire pits and raised grills. A nice campground (other than being near train tracks). Woodall's listing says they have cable TV, but they don't. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Devil's Lake RV Park, Lincoln City, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is up on a hillside, so you'll need blocks/jacks to level out. Quiet, a little traffic noise can be heard, but not excessive. Good wi-fi signal. Good overnighter campground, but wouldn't want to stay for more. I have 2 smaller boys, and there's not much for them to do. There's a rec room, but it's just for clubs to rent, not for kids. We camped at Devil's Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Honey Bear By the Sea RV Resort and Campground, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Woodall's says this park has a rec room with coin games and WiFi at the sites. There is NO rec room with coin games and the WiFi was so spotty and poor we couldn't keep a signal for longer than a minute, and that was one row from the building. We camped at Honey Bear By the Sea RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.

Crooked Creek RV Park, West Union, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This would be a good destination site a bit later in the year. It's still pretty chilly and drab. But it looks like a very nice park. It's very large, set on the side of a hill, pull through graveled sites with grass and picnic tables, fairly level, easy to get in and out, open for satellite, very quiet as it's a ways off any major road. Cable TV is not very good, limited and static. We were at site 93 at first, but there was no wifi signal, so they moved us up the hill to site 58, where the signal is nice and strong. Wifi speed is very good, DSL equivalent. We camped at Crooked Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is about as good as it gets for us. The campground is set several blocks off a city highway, so it's fairly quiet. The site we were in (#25) was gravel and not level, but was spacious with grass, a picnic table and fire pit. It was fairly open so satellite is possible. There was cable TV (lower channels didn't come in) and Wi-Fi for multiple computers with no charge. There is a lake with free fishing, a pool that is covered, very close to shopping and just a few miles for Charleston for sightseeing. The campground was not at all crowded. I suppose everyone is in Florida, because it does get a bit nippy at night here. If you don't like dogs, don't come here. There were lots of dogs, ranging from a weiner dog to a Great Pyrenees, so we fit right in with our two. I just wish the price were a little bit more reasonable, the $43 is with our KOA card discount. We camped at Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Titusville / Cape Kennedy KOA, Mims, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is close to I-95, so there is some traffic noise. There is a nice pool for the kids, bikes for rent, and short term stays have nice large concrete pads with a picnic table and grill. There are mostly shaded spots with some open, so satellite can be used here. They have a dog walk along a fence at the back of the park. The reason I gave it a low mark is because of their wifi. They give you a card which is good for your stay (24hrs, 48hrs, etc.), but every time your computer goes to sleep, you have to log back in, and the signal does drop in and out a bit, so sometimes it takes a while to get back on. And if you do stay here, take Hwy. 1 towards Titusville. A few miles down the road is a fruit stand. They have the best Red Navel oranges! We camped at Titusville / Cape Kennedy KOA in a Motorhome.

Orlando S.E./Lake Whippoorwill KOA, Orlando, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We're staying here for 4 nights because we wanted to be near Cape Canaveral for the shuttle launch. I do not think we will come back here. The back-in spots are very narrow without space for a car and very uneven, and their Wi-Fi is very slow. For the price I expected better. We camped at Orlando S.E./Lake Whippoorwill KOA in a Motorhome.

Perry KOA Campground, Perry, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious lots, nice and quiet campground. We chose a back-in lot to save a few $, and had to do some leveling. Showers are large and clean, and each have a shower chair. Fenced in dog run, but dummy me, I couldn't figure out how to open the gate! Large oak trees with a few open spaces for satellite setup. Good Wi-Fi signal, free for multiple computers. We camped at Perry KOA Campground in a Motorhome.

Milton / Gulf Pines KOA, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is right next to the freeway, so there is quite a lot of traffic noise. The lots are grass and a little bit uneven. We were able to move the RV into a spot where it leveled out. The lots closest to the freeway are quite large, with a cement slab and picnic table. Cable TV was good, and WiFi where we were at was good. It's free WiFi, and although it requires a code to be entered, they gave us another code for our other computer. We camped at Milton / Gulf Pines KOA in a Motorhome.

Baton Rouge KOA, Denham Springs, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

If you travel with dogs and don't care about wifi, I'd certainly recommend this campground. They have plenty of space to walk dogs, with a grassy road leading to a large park that has a dog walk. They also have a large fenced-in area with a picnic table under cover, where you can let the dogs run free and play. They are only 4-5 blocks off the freeway so there is some traffic noise, but not excessive. The lots are a little cramped for big rigs with slide outs. Right now my neighbor's slide out is about 2 feet from my picnic table. They have open wifi for those with more than one computer, but it is very slow. That's the reason I gave it a lower rating. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

Meadowlark RV Park, Alvin, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A nice small quiet campground a couple of miles off of Hwy. 35 in Alvin. Very good Wi-Fi signal and good cable, friendly owners, no bathrooms, showers or laundry. If we're around Alvin again, we'll stay there again. We camped at Meadowlark RV Park in a Motorhome.
