This was our first outing of the season and we stayed her because of their indoor pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a 4 1/2 year old with us and they gave us a site with a short walk to the playground/pool for her. The roads are a bit tight and not in great shape after the winter here but the sites were large and nice (although there was still snow piled up and it was muddy because of the season). The playground was okay for the 4 1/2 year old but would be too old for smaller children. The pool was great! We utilized it several times over the weekend. There are bathrooms and showers right off the pool area and they were relatively clean but the showers had poor water pressure (but the hot water). We will probably try to stay here once again off season.

This is a beautiful park with a large grassy area in the center. The park was well maintained and the staff friendly. Although we traveled here in a 24' RV, we noted that several large units had some difficulty getting onto some of the sites and had to make several adjustments to place themselves on the sites correctly. We found the campground clean and quiet and would certainly stay her again in the future. We also had a wonderful meal in town at Uncle Buck's on Main Street.

We have stayed at this park a few years ago and found it convenient to visit DC. First, I would say that the people are friendly and the staff helpful. The park did seem more run down then it had in the past, but I surmised this might be because they are in the process of building a new "lodge" and making major improvements which seem to be planned for 2014. It does have plenty of amenities and was clean, but my biggest gripe was the cable and internet access. During our stay it was pretty rainy and we had no satellite reception. So we hooked up to the park cable and it had terrible reception. Just having a access point in the park doesn't mean you have internet access. The signal strength and bandwidth was so low that it was frustrating to try to use their internet services, I finally had to turn off wireless on my devices and use the 4G cell signal instead. I hope that they invest in sprucing up the playground and pool areas when they roll out their other improvements.

We had a great weekend staying here for the first time. We had a river site (#14) and camped here with our 2 year old granddaughter. It was an excellent weekend for weather and we enjoyed the pool and walking down by the river. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The place is newly opened after being wiped out by flooding a few years ago. Our site was grassy and level. Our satellite television got reception and the Internet access had a strong signal. The playgrounds were older but they are supposed to be getting in new playground equipment in a few weeks. We plan to come back again.

We camped here pre-season (when reservations are not required but sites are given on a first come, first serve basis). It was a beautiful weekend. This campground is a short walk to the beach and right on the ocean. This was our first visit (we haven't been able to get in during previous seasons). We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again. I did think it was a little expensive, though.

We have camped here in the past as it is within a few hours drive from our home. We always end up requesting a site in the Ashley Pond area which is kind of far from the main office but quiet with spacious sites and is currently under construction to also have a pool, laundry room, and hot tubs available. The only issue is that they have always given us a hard time because we want to be on a pond site but they are restricted to exclude smaller RV's like ours, as they only want large rigs on those sites. This doesn't make sense to us because we always stay here off season, and there are always many sites available that remain empty when we would have gladly paid the additional fee for a premium water site. In terms of location we love the location, it's close to the beach, shopping, and food.

Very nice park. We have stayed here before but wanted to start the season with our 2 year old granddaughter by bringing her to this park, which has great playgrounds and an indoor pool (although we didn't use the pool this visit). The sites are large, and the grounds are well kept. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant. The only reason we didn't give it a 10 is that we felt the price was on the high side.

We did a lot of research before coming to Charleston and decided on this park after seeing it's great reviews. We were not disappointed, it was close to attractions and a very nice clean park. Despite being in a wooded area, we were pleasantly surprised to have satellite reception. There is a park ranger on duty overnight who does late check ins. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. There is a water park inside the county park but it was not open during our stay. There is a great dog park that made me wish we had our dog with us, he would have loved it. If you forget your bikes, you can rent some.

We stayed here for a few nights while visiting with friends in the area. We are not military, and our friends sponsored our stay at this facility. It was very nice...though off season so not full. The laundry facility was not the cleanest, and the washers were smaller than average meaning you needed to use more of them. The area was beautiful and so was the weather. Would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity.

This was our 2nd stay at Cherry Hill and by all accounts the park is very nice. Unfortunately over the weekend we stayed we had continuous problems with transportation to/from the park using the public transportation. While not the campgrounds fault, the times they provided were off by 10 minutes on the front end (almost missed the bus), on the trip back the bus schedule listed a time but the bus never showed up. A group of us waited at the metro station and when we did contacted the campground they insisted that the next bus would be around in an hour...we didn't wait and decided to take taxis back to the campground. On day 2 we took the bus to the Greenbelt station, about 1 mile from the metro station the bus broke down and we were told to exit the bus..another would be by in 1 hour...a group of us walked to the station instead. I would highly recommend that you have cash on you in the event that the transportation available doesn't come through. The only other issue was the attitude of some of the staff. I found them a little pushy at times and for those that have never been into DC they didn't explain things well enough. Our group happened to have done the research and had been to the area before but found we had to help others a lot because they were not well informed.

Nice park! It's clean and well kept; the lawns were very green and cared for. There is a nice little stream running through the grounds. Pool is nice and located just outside the office. Hershey park tickets are available at a discount at the office and a shuttle runs every 20 minutes to the park, very convenient. Garbage pick up at curbside daily: no trips to a stinky dumpster. Our site was <100 feet from very active freight train track. Not as bad as you would think, tracks were elevated, keeping the noise overhead, mostly a rumble/whish sort of noise like a plane. This was scary the first time. Some may find it objectionable. We would stay here again!

This is a gated park with access code needed to open gate. The store / office is a 6th of a mile down the road behind the gate. We arrived late 9:45PM after office hours and the gate was locked. We walked the distance in the pitch black of the night to the closed store to find our reservation map with directions to our site on the ground in the corner by the ice machine. The map had our site number on it but guess what? No gate code. So we now know where our site is but cannot get the motorhome past the gate. We had to resort to going from site to site at 10PM to explain our situation and beg for a gate code. Some nice people finally gave us the code and we gained access to the park and settled in for the night. When we went to complain at the office the next morning, the office staff blamed us for not calling to say we would be arriving after office hours and offered no resolution or explanation for why they would set out our reservation on the ground outside the office when they went home, but omit the gate code. This experience badly tainted the stay for us. The sites were beautiful, grounds were very clean, restrooms and showers were clean. The pool was clean and well maintained although only one was open. Laundry facilities were far away from the camping areas that required you to drive to the laundry from the bulk of the camping area. We would stay here again so long as access is available after hours.

We had originally made reservations at another campground but were not comfortable with the neighborhood. We instead changed our plans and located this campground which is only a few miles from Sea World and in a much more desirable location, close to restaurants and shopping. The sites are a bit close together and there were a lot of empty sites during our weeknight stay but it was quiet and very nice.

This is a fairly new RV park that opened in 2006. The restrooms/showers were very nice and clean and the sites were nice and level. The sites were paved and the people were friendly. There is a pool available for use at the hotel next door but we didn't utilize it so cannot comment. We booked the Railway special which included roundtrip tickets on the train to the Grand Canyon so I am unsure if there was a charge for the campground as the price we paid seems to be in line with what we would have paid for the train tickets with perhaps a nominal additional nightly fee of $10 or less. This is really a parking lot with paved RV spaces so it wouldn't be a good fit for a long term stay. It's within walking distance of Route 66 for groceries and food but we were not able to find any really good food in town, it's all about the experience I guess.

We stored our RV here over the summer while we returned home for a few months during our cross country road trip. We were very nervous to leave our beloved rig unattended thousands of miles from home but all was well when we returned. Stored the rig on a regular site in the back of the park. We stayed here for 1 night upon our return and all was well with the stay. Nice clean park with beautiful pool. Level cement pads. Close to the strip and the airport. We would stay here again.
