Very clean campground and right off of the Delaware Bay. When we went it was really windy and chilly so we were unable to set up much outside without the risk of it blowing away! I am not sure if that’s how it always is since it’s right off of the coast or if we had a bad time. Just a few FYI’s: Tight pull-through sites, no campfires permitted, dogs must go with you everywhere (pets may not be allowed to reside in the camper when you are away), and paved sites. The campsite is right off of the construction of the bridge, which is not much of a hassle or a disturbance as read in previous reviews. It is within minutes of Dewey Beach, and Ocean City, MD – good for those who stay just for the beaches since there are NO activities in the park. I enjoyed the stay. Just make sure you have plenty planned when attending (fishing is a VERY GOOD CHOICE!), otherwise you will be bored!

Good park, clean and quiet (although the start of the season and during the week). They do have almost 75% seasonals all located towards the rear of the campground...all weekenders are placed towards the front of the campground. OUTSTANDING water pressure and easy hook-ups all located together making it easy to hook up. Office staff was very friendly and helpful in all aspects! There was an issue with a duck with a 6-pack plastic wrapper wrapped around it's beak that we notified maintenance staff and they did not do anything about it. The following day we notified the office staff and they stated they would call NJ Fish & Game. Would camp here again!

We camped here as part of a group, in the big open field. It was the second weekend they were open. Staff was very friendly upon registration, and helpful in pointing us in the right directions. We were all placed together – that really helped. There was a lack of fire rings – we had to go to unoccupied campsites to find a few. The water pressure is LOW! Be prepared to deal with that when you get there! They had a big bonfire on Saturday of all the trees they cut down in the off season – that was well worth the weekend, especially being it was 28 degrees at night! I would camp here with a group, but not solo.

GREAT! That’s all I can say about this park! It was very clean and well kept, and the staff was friendly. They offer a lot of activities to do on site. One of the things we liked the most is they offer waste bags for the dogs around the site, very helpful for those “accidents!” They have a lake in the center of the park you can sit around and it is lit up at night. Right by the highway for easy access to DC or Baltimore, and you can hear the traffic at night, but it’s no big deal for what the park offers. Easy transportation to DC as well from the bus terminal on site.

I stayed at Holly Shores for a seasonal site, and would not go back as a seasonal customer but would go back on a nightly basis. They enforce the rules too much for my liking, and tend to invade your privacy a bit by riding around every half an hour at night. The campground was clean and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff needs some work on customer service at times, but we all have our days.
