This rate is for the after 6pm "express" arrival which puts you in a somewhat gravel pull-through that is adequate for the overnight full hookup, minus cable or wifi. If you want them, you have to go to the full price sites, but be sure to look at what cable you get (very few stations) and the wifi there is iffy we understand and "not reliable in cold weather". Well off 95 but very easy to get to; across 95 from a big Wal-Mart/shopping area. Clean, decent place to stay and we would return for an overnight. Not what we think of a "resort" but above a field campground. Nothing unpleasant to report. Water pressure was good. No shade sites.

Immaculate in every way. Long concrete sites a bit on the thin side, but lovely grass and plantings on both sides. Free cable and wifi (but it's Tangonet so can be iffy). Lovely bath/laundry/pool facility - doubles as tornado shelter (which we needed during our visit). Perfect for rallies. Right off I-95 at exit 29. Really could not be nicer.

Date of Stay:

Pretty pricey for November. Cable TV was out. Free WiFi does work well although not sure how long it is "free" as an access code may be required. The prompt comes up to indicate this, but office said it is free (at least today). Right on 95, Bass Pro Shop across 95 and lots of fast food places. Considerable road noise. Sites level, pull-throughs OK, gravel roads. Price includes KOA discount.

Mid-November visit, the campground was empty. Helpful staff. Free WiFi, with no one else using it, was great. 14 cable TV channels. Gravel/dirt roads. Did not use any facilities. Easy to find.

Fine for overnight e-z on/off of 81. There is no road noise nor cable or wifi. The road to campground is up a hill and getting out requires driving on gravel road with ruts on side. There is a huge truck stop at this plaza behind the buildings that would serve as well if you don't need hook-ups and want to save the $35. We will stop here again - and use the truck stop to stay over.

Date of Stay:

Sites on hills, roads poorly paved, narrow and difficult to maneuver in our 40' motorhome. Wi-Fi only in one building. Many trailers look permanent. Sites can barely accommodate some units, so best to check your site before trying to get in with the unit. Very wooded and would be good for summer camping with kids. We were fooled by a good TL rating: no doubt due to their large ad. Not a bad campground, but simply nowhere near the TL rating or ad.

Date of Stay:

Large ownership campground 30 miles in both directions from any store or gas station so be alert to where you are if you stay here. Adjacent activities all at fee. Several different areas range from standard to premium. Standard area has small plain sites, limited if any vegetation, many park models/permanent residents in trailers, Confederate flags, and resident decorations on their lots. Going upscale gives larger lots and more vegetation, some with built-in outdoor decks with huge trees and palms. Best spots are most expensive and on the "river". Arrive and look over the spots first to see what suits your preference. Sites on river are a 10, sites in standard section are a 4. Facilities are modern, 2 pools although a bit small for number of lots. Wi-Fi only in the clubhouse.

There are uneven sites, and many permanent looking trailers. They charge for wifi, charge for cable, etc. It is right off I-75. We would not return.

Truly lovely state park campground. Very large sites, private, lovely trees and shade. Entire park is lovely, quiet. Verizon air card coverage good. Small lovely town nearby. Beautiful walking/biking areas, near river. 30/50amp, no sewer, but dump station available. A top state park experience.

Date of Stay:

Huge campground, some sites on narrow concrete pads, others on grass. Some park models around. Small pool for the number of sites. There's a 9-hole golf course on site. Very crowded, very close sites. Grass sites subject to low ground water problems in rain. Would not stay here again.

Try to get one of the west facing waterfront spots. Very few sites for larger rigs, very crowded and at all odd angles to fit something on to every inch of this very small area, but very close to Cedar Key. Definitely a fun "island" experience, if not exactly on Cedar Key itself. Best to call for reservations as it's a long way and nowhere else to go, and not many places to turn around either! Come fully supplied as it's a long way back to major shopping. Friendly owners, motel also on property. Old Florida - think Key West 60 years ago! Don't miss Cedar Key State Park Museum.

Date of Stay:

Located 30 miles east of Cedar Key, a good spot for fishing and many fishing boats here. Rough roads inside park, site spacing ok. Rough 'n ready crowd keeps the Confederate flag flying high on the flagpole out front. Some big dogs around so beware. Very easy to find, largest campground closest to Cedar Key. Bring supplies to last your visit, since it is a distance to any big market.

We stayed here several times when it was Rock Crusher and enjoyed it greatly because it was spacious and quiet. Now it is full to capacity "deeded ownership" park. Level earth sites. Very nice poolhouse though undersized for the hundreds of full sites. Good location in Crystal River with many trees. A big community, no park models but a number of year-rounders with their possessions around their units. Close to town.

Date of Stay:

This is an ownership park. It has level sites, a small pool and more sites than optimal for the modest facilities. Some trees, most are on the owner sites. Sites are close, but not intolerable. OK for an overnight stop as renter.

Date of Stay:

It has many sites close together on flat area, paved roads, dirt/grass sites with concrete patio area. Pay wifi, free cable. There is a good activity level for those staying for winter. Water pressure is low. It is too far off I-10 for easy and easy out. We used our Passport America membership. The park appeared to be mostly filled with snowbirds.
