Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

A basic park but appreciated the easy in and out for a one night stay in a big rig, towing. Dog park close to our site that our lab appreciated after a long day on the road. Office staff very friendly. Little cafe on site that will deliver your dinner to your site, which is wonderful when you don't want to unhook! We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

We camped one night on our way to the gulf. This was a beautiful park that seemed very well kept. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Gulf Waters RV Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved this park. This is an RV condominium, where owners rent their sites when they're on in Port Aransas. Each lot is huge with beautiful landscaping, concrete and brick patios, and concrete picnic tables. Some offer barbecue shelters and benches. Many sites are right on the pond, offering a beautiful view. All are close to the boardwalk that leads to the beach. The people in the park were extremely friendly. We will make this our destination next year! We camped at Gulf Waters RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pioneer Beach Resort, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $30.00

This is a very nice park with a lot of activities on site. You can walk down the boardwalk to the beach from the park or enjoy one of their two pools. The only drawback for us was that the sites are a little small. We camped at Pioneer Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Traders Village RV Park, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean park with very narrow sites. No clubhouse is available, and their mini market consists of a few candy bars. Staff was friendly. Most of the people in the park seem to work at the adjacent flea market on week ends. No planned activities are available. We stayed here only because of friends nearby, but I don't believe we'd return. We camped at Traders Village RV Park in a Motorhome.
