By The River RV Park & Campground, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Had not been there for a few years and obviously the campground has slid downhill with time. Dogs barking all night, muddy lots and the electric service is poor at best. I do not suggest to hookup to the power unless you have a power protection box on your unit or something is going to fry with the voltage spiking, then dropping. Very disappointed with what the place has become. We won't be back as there are many other campgrounds in Kerrville that keep their places maintained much better. We camped at By The River RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Trail Crossing, Butler, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice small campground. The owners are great and bend over backwards to be helpful. Stayed a full month and hope to be back next summer. Trash is picked up daily and the grounds are kept very clean. Lack of Wi-Fi is the only reason I don't score them higher. They are expanding the park with more lots which they need as this park is very popular. We camped at River Trail Crossing in a Fifth Wheel.

Mohican Reservation Campgrounds & Canoeing, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed the campground and will return next year. Spent 2 weeks at this campground on a lot overlooking the river which resulted in a lot of entertainment. Difficult entrance way and exit for a 40ft 5th wheel and the lack of a sewer hookup was a problem. Low hanging power lines is trouble for a big rig and we had to have a spotter walking beside the rig to make sure we could clear them with only a couple of inches to spare. We camped at Mohican Reservation Campgrounds & Canoeing in a Motorhome.

River Run Campground & Canoe Livery, Loudonville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very disappointing park. The rules are there only to say that rules exist in the park but are not enforced. People cut through your campsite at all hours, radios playing until 1am. This is a party park and not a good park for rest and relaxation. Dead opossum in the restrooms did it for us as well as the overflowing dumpsters and playground equipment with beer bottles strewn around the playground. A fine example of a campground that COULD be good as it is a beautiful area, but is poorly run. We camped at River Run Campground & Canoe Livery in a Motorhome.

Great place! Clean, friendly staff, very kid friendly, wonderful experience and we will be back. It would be a 10 but the condition of the access road to the campground is terrible. We camped at Long Lake Park in a Motorhome.

Shadow Lake RV Resort, Wodsfield, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Too many parks use the term "resort" in their advertising and this place does not resemble this term in the least! Cell Phone reception is non-existent. Wi-Fi is at the office only if you can find a place to sit down to use it. Office is in total disarray, showers and bathrooms were dirty. Roads leading to this park are NOT for motorhomes unless you have nerves of steel. Their website is a fanciful view of what they would like it to be, not what it is. We were lead to a grass site where our unit began sinking and more rain on the way, so we left ASAP before having to be pulled out. Very disappointed and feel their website is borderline on false advertising. We camped at Shadow Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park, well maintained and very clean. It would be nice to stay for a week or more. Only downsides are the lack of Wi-Fi and cable hookup. I highly recommend this park. We camped at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf in a Motorhome.

Hitchin' Post RV Park, Hallsville, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2009 - $29.00

The park was clean and well maintained. Seems like many permanent campers in this park. The road noise was very bad and had to turn on the AC to drown out the truck noise. We camped at Hitchin' Post RV Park in a Motorhome.

Came back after a month on the road. Great staff and small campground, but very friendly. The view of the river is excellent and this is a prime get-away campground. Location is far away from road noise and plenty of wildlife in the area. If you are a bird watcher, you will love this place. We camped at By The River RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Returned after 9 months away. Great campground and constantly improving from last year's visit. Staff is top notch and addresses problems immediately If you notify them of an issue. These people step up to create a very nice, quiet area with many things to do if you wish to participate. The island is a big draw for fishing and bird watching. A hiking trail is a nice touch. Park security watch has been added since last year and that helps control non-guest visitors. Will keep coming back here yearly. We camped at By The River RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Whispering Pines RV Park, Jackson, Tennessee

Date of Stay: January, 2009 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very poor weather conditions forced us to pull in for one night. The manager seemed indifferent to our stay. The ground was very soft and muddy. The handle on the water tap was broken off. The area is full of scrap metal and old shacks. I do not advise stopping here. We camped at Whispering Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.
