Luxury RV Resort, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park with very good access to the beach (3 blocks) and a great seafood restaurant (The Oyster House). WiFi was strong, the electric was stable, and the water pressure was good. Staff was very friendly and the park had a nice pool. We will definitely return here to stay. We camped at Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Forsyth KOA, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for an overnight stop. WiFi was available for an additional charge. Park was clean. We were placed in what appears to be a new addition in the back of the park that is mostly pull-through sites and there wasn't any shade. Traffic noise from I-75 was very minimal and the park itself was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and "warm" chocolate chip cookies were delivered to you not long after you completed setting up (nice touch). We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Flamingo Lake RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great park and the staff was very friendly. Checking in was only complicated by two obstinate RVers in front of me without reservations and desiring specific spots. I would advise having a reservation at the park. The park was neat and well attended to. We will definitely return to this park. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Creek Side RV Park, Damascus, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little campground with a very nice owner. Wi-Fi was very limited with a weak signal in site 5. All sites back up to a stream and you get the sound of water flowing over the rocks. The park is almost downtown which makes walking to any of the stores downtown a snap. Damascus is geared for biking and hiking. Great place to stay and calling the owner to get directions to get into the park is a must. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Creek Side RV Park in a Motorhome.

Charleston KOA, Ladson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice KOA with friendly staff. The water pressure and stability of the electric has been improved a lot since we stayed here two years ago. Wi-Fi is typical for high usage and comes and goes during those peak periods. Campground was clean and well maintained. Nice pool. Will definitely stay here again. We camped at Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground with a friendly helpful staff. We booked late so had one of the buddy sites previously mentioned. The site wasn't bad because of the layout for the fire pit, but you can end up with a sewer hose in front of you depending on which side of the site you are on. I would recommend reservations well in advance. Nice shady sites and our walk around the CG told me that most if not all were pretty level. Nice municipal golf course close by and easy access to downtown Charleston. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

Crossroads RV Park & Campground, Lyndon, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice neat and quiet park. There are a few permanent types, but their sites are very neat. The CG owner takes great pride in the appearance of the place and it shows. Sites are a little close, but there is a grass area in between them. This is a great overnight stop if traveling US 75 in Kansas. We stayed for the whole month of July and will be going back for the month of October. I would have given it a 10, but it does like for activities for kids. There is a nice trail to walk/bike that is accessible from the park. Definitely recommend this park. We camped at Crossroads RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Shawnee Campgrounds, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Lake Shawnee CG is a nice campground, but with the economy the way it is, it is really starting to attract a less than stellar crowd. A lot of late night partying so if you're looking for some sleep be careful of the spot you pick. One bathroom is newer and has A/C. The park personnel keep both of them clean. We camped at Lake Shawnee Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Brown County State Park, Nashville, Indiana

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

What a beautiful park! The place is like a zoo during October because of the foliage. Indiana gets it right, there's no doubt about it! Great park for kids with the Nature Center offering education sessions on different things all week long. The Taylor Ridge area is actually on a ridge, so be VERY careful selecting a site. Was glad I loaded extra leveling wood as our moderate slope site needed extra for getting the rear end up to level. Shower rooms are nice and the park also has pit toilets. We carried gallon jugs for flushing the toilet in the coach. The place is a little on the roughing it side, but very well worth it. We camped at Brown County State Park in a Motorhome.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

As stated by others, sites were small, but were OK for an overnight stay. Each of the pull thru sites had a small cement pad for a patio with a picnic table and small wood burner. Staff was friendly and the park was well taken care of and very clean. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very friendly staff, very nice office/store, and clean restrooms. We stayed here on the "stay one get one free weekend", and were very satisfied with our stay. Lots to do in Lawrence as well. This park is a nice stop over off I-70/Kansas Turnpike. We camped at Kansas City West / Lawrence KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice stop over on I-40. I didn't experience any of the attitude problems others have talked about. Nice quiet park. You need to make reservations ahead this time of the year as many are headed to AZ and the full hook sites fill fast. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but our neighbors highly recommended it. We stayed here on our way to Phoenix, and also stayed on the return trip. Wifi was free and strong. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Port of Kimberling Campground (formerly Waters Edge Cabin and RV Resor, Kimberling City, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park on the lake with some sites that have a view of the lake/marina. Electric was good and stable. The park lost water pressure completely on the Sunday we were there, but had it restored in 3-4 hours. Our site (304) was tough to level on (36' coach). The sewer hookups are down a slope and you need plenty of hose to get there. I had two 10' links and barely made it there, which also contributed to my leveling problems. Nice place with friendly staff. We camped at Port of Kimberling Campground (formerly Waters Edge Cabin and RV Resor in a Motorhome.

Charleston KOA, Ladson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The park had marginal power and very low water pressure. We used to live in this area and the place has built up tremendously. This probably accounts for the low water pressure. Park is clean and is close access to Charleston. Very nice pool for the kids. We camped at Charleston KOA in a Motorhome.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stop over if you are traveling on I-24. This is the second time we have stopped here and the place is under new management. The 50 amp service was and stayed right at 120 volts and the water pressure was solid. It is basically a gravel lot with some grass here and there, but the new management is planting trees and is cleaning the place up. It was easy to get to off I-24 and did not have any road noise. Nice, clean pool for the kids. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.
