We thought the park was beautiful, from the time we set the parking brake. The view is just like the pictures. We treated ourselves to one of the only three the luxury sites ($75/night) which is on the waterfront that has sweeping views of the lake and the site included (as advertised) at built in rock walled granite topped outdoor BBQ area with sink. Would have given this park 10 stars but here are two major flaws that will keep us from not recommending this park to friends and family. 1) The Wi-Fi is clearly unusable. We are advanced users and all we require is a steady connection. Its not unreasonable to expect a reliable Wi-Fi connection (as advertised) taking into considering the high rates that Sunset Point on Lake LBJ RV park charges. 2) Being full timers, on our first day we were thrilled to have such a beautiful attached outdoor area to BBQ and relax. Come to find out that the BBQ was missing the grill and propane necessary to operate the BBQ. So we called the front desk and much to our disappointment they told us that in order to use the BBQ we needed to cough up an addition $50 dollars. Most individuals who are paying a premium of $75 per night are typically not the type to do $50 dollars of cleaning damage to an outdoor BBQ area. Furthermore, why not just charge a understandable REFUNDABLE deposit for use of the attached BBQ area and if it is not a cleaned then you do not get your deposit returned. Needless to say we stared at our beautiful $75 a night attached BBQ outdoor area and used our own BBQ. We could not justify the price considering we were only staying 5 nights, and $50 dollars is two nights out to dinner. Also, the park use of leaf blowers was highly excessive!! I personally think leaf blowers should be banned. Not only are they a loud nuisance, they are inefficient and are not a good use of the earth's resources. Not one person in the park said Hello to us, but there was a nice staff lady.

This was a great park. The pool was closed which was a bummer, but it was the end of the season so we understood. Their choice in WiFi was disappointing, they are using HughesNet which is slow and unresponsive at times. They have a large and really nice dog play ground.

We just loved this little park tucked away in the neck of the woods near the Guadalupe river. The park staff was very friendly and accommodating. The surroundings are breathtaking with tons of shade from the beautiful trees. We took a short trip to the town of Shiner and a tour of Texas's oldest brewery: Spoetzl Brewery the tour and tastings were free. We would definitely visit this park again.

Nice park with the most friendly staff. We are fulltimers and when we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles and lots of information on things to do in the area. The park is neat and the laundry room is kept cool and clean. The location is close to South Congress and we would definitely come back again and stay for another month.

We loved this park! We stayed one month at a rate of $550. The staff is very friendly, the grounds offer natural beauty and great places to walk your dog. They even have recycling available, something I wish more RV parks offered. The park even has bio degradable doggie waste pick up bags. The owners of this park must really care a lot and it shows. We will definitely return.

Our stay here was very nice, its a family owned and operated park and it shows that they care. Clay guided us to our site and helped us with dining options for our night on the town. We felt welcomed and we would come back here again.

This is a nice place to overnight. Owner is one really cool and nice man who was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our quick overnight stay.

This park was on our way to Colorado and good for one night. Be forewarned that you will be pitched on for park memberships by the residents. We were approached by 4 different people in as little as 24 hours on the advantages of joining various park memberships: we felt hounded.

A very well maintained beautiful park, lined with rows of swaying palm trees. The owners are about as friendly as they come. This park has a huge swimming pool and its simply beautiful. The park is pet friendly and there is a little lake that is fun to explore. Also it has a great gift store with gorgeous nature inspired jewelry. We would definitely stay again.

This was a pleasant stop over for us while on our way to Florida. The owner is a gentleman and very kind, I guess that's why Mobile, Alabama is voted in the top 5 most "polite" cities in America and it shows. We would would stay here again.

The first 3 nights of your stay are free! Thereafter the price is $15 dollars per night. There are no sewer hook up at your site, however they do have a dump station. Lots of grass to walk your dog. The casino is "OK"; there is a really nice casino just a short drive up the road. Good luck!

The first 3 nights are free! Thereafter its $15 per night. No sewer, however they do have a dump station. We stayed along with some other friends for 4 nights. Great place for a dog to run. Nothing fancy but a nice, cheap place to stay and have fun gambling. There is another casino down the road that is bigger. Good luck! A very interesting and impressive motorcycle museum downtown. We would stay again.

This is a nice and peaceful park. If you inform the manager that you need WIFI she will put you in the best place to receive great WIFI for us that was in site number six. There is a good restaurant called Meridys very close that had really good fired chicken. There is also a interesting oil rig museum. We were only going to stay one night and ended up staying for several days. We would camp here again. It is very pet friendly and has nice pull through sites.

Bethel Island is peaceful and beautiful. Sugar Barge is the only decent RV park on the island. Be warned if going in the summer time, this park is only 30 amp. If you have two AC's like many of the newer coaches, you are going to be toasty. The staff was friendly. We will stay again, but, I will not stay in the summer again due to the oppressive heat, our coach inside reached about 98 degrees, it would be to everyones benefit to upgrade the electrical to 50 amp.

This is the closet RV park to San Jose. It is new and very nice. The staff is pleasant and kind. The train that is near was not a big deal, our motorhome is pretty well insulated so it never bothered us. This park has a nice pool and jacuzzi. Be careful to really look at your charges, they have a charge of a $2.00 per day if you have more than one dog and they also charge $2.00 per day for parking your toad in any of the available parking spots. That can really add up if you stay a month or two and we think that is a little high. Overall, nice park.
