San Luis Pass County Park, Freeport, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The park is back and good for fishing with one exception, the bridge needs to be dredged out so people can have another place to fish. It was crowded spring break weekend so there were a limited number of places to fish. Spend money to dredge out the bridge area please! This will make the park the GREAT place it once was. We camped at San Luis Pass County Park in a Travel Trailer.

San Luis Pass County Park, Freeport, Texas

This park has reopened and it is nice, but not the same as before " Ike." No lights on the bridge for night fishing, and the water flow under the bridge is not there anymore. That was a great spot to spend the night and meet people while fishing! I hope they fix this soon because I'm not sure I will be back till it is done. The staff is always helpful as before, but I go to fish!! We camped at San Luis Pass County Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park host were great. I wish the fishing was better, but overall it was a great spot. They had large sites and lots of nice space. No lights at nite anywhere so watch your kids playing after dark. This is a new park with great potential I will be back. We camped at Galveston Bay RV Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Marina Bay RV Resort, Kemah, Texas

This was a very clean and quiet park. We came for a weekend of fun and found ourselves whispering at night. The Manager was very nice but said she had several complaints of noise. If you come for a weekend of fun this is not the place. If you come for peace and quite there is not a better place. We camped at Marina Bay RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
