Ponderosa RV Resort, Lotus, California

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This is a 1000 Trails/NACO/ROD/Encore RV Park, but is also open to the general public. We were here for the Memorial Day weekend, so it was pretty full. Was nice and shady, nice to walk along the shore of the American River. Well maintained park with very friendly and helpful staff. There is an "off-leash" dog area of about an acre next to the river. We had an excellent stay, and would vacation here again. Had some fun weekend activities for the kids and grownups, too. We camped at Ponderosa RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pleasant Valley RV Park, Tillamook, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

An older park, but well kept up. Gravel & grass, lots of trees. Near the Tillamook river. Had a nice play area for dogs. Some nice hiking trails also. No problem for our 24' motorhome, but longer rigs may have a problem maneuvering through the trees. We camped at Pleasant Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deerwood RV Park, Eugene, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice park. Since is was raining and cold, we couldn't spend much time outside, but this will be a splendid park in the summer, when the trees are leafed out. Somewhat pricey, but the setting is worth it. Wifi is 4.95/day. Very strict rules re dogs. We camped at Deerwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is destined to become a wonderful RV park, but is not finished yet. As was noted in previous reviews, the sewers are not in. There is no laundry or shower or toilet facilities. The cable TV isn't in yet either. WiFi is just barely passable. The managers are really nice, and are working hard to get it together, but the hard winter has slowed progress on finishing the park. Would stay again (in about a year). We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whispering Pines RV Park & Center, Cle Elum, Washington

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was just cleaning up from a cold winter, and preparing for the spring crowd. We didn't see much of them. It was still pretty muddy, but we enjoyed the woods with our dog off leash. Catch & release fishing. No Wifi. Would stay again. We camped at Whispering Pines RV Park & Center in a Motorhome.

Castlegar Cabins, RV Park & Campground, Castlegar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

April 2, 2008 was probably not the best time for us to evaluate this RV park. There was still a lot of snow on the ground, and the owner (a very nice couple) had just cleared out a few sites. Water was not available, since it was so cold that the faucets would freeze. The facilities were clean, but elderly. Wi-Fi was good. We actually only used the electric power. We're sure that this would be a really nice campground in the summer. We camped at Castlegar Cabins, RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Coeur D'Alene RV Resort, Post Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice facility, extra clean showers and restrooms. Very business like staff. Well taken care of and maintained. It was pretty cold at night, and there was still a little snow on the ground, so the grass was a little muddy. Level gravel back ins for smaller rigs. Very quiet. If you have to spend time in Post Falls, ID, This is the place to park your RV. We camped at Coeur D'Alene RV Resort in a Motorhome.

NK’MIP RV Park, Osoyoos, British Columbia

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a nice location, next to Lake Osoyoos. Lake sites are $2.00 premium. Staff is friendly. This is a very large park, and all of the sites appear to be full service. Payment by Canadian money or MC or VISA card. U.S. currency not accepted. Park rules are provided in very small type on the back of the site card provided. We stayed for 2 nights, and would stay again. We camped at NK’MIP RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hillview RV Park, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Level, gravel sites. Many permanent residents. Facilities were very clean and well maintained. Every site had it's own patch of grass. Centrally located in town, but not noisy (except for cars passing with loud boomers in their cars). A good place to overnight, or stay a few days. We camped at Hillview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Winnemucca RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

All gravel, no grass except where the tent sites were. Very dusty. Really sweet couple run the place. They have a store with many "basics" that would be needed by RV'ers. Was pretty cold, so we were asked to disconnect the water line each evening. Small dog run. Very clean facilities, despite the dust. We camped at Winnemucca RV Park in a Motorhome.

Victorian RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Paved back-ins for small rigs. Lots of grass, although there wasn't much in the way of shade. Nice staff, very accommodating. Dog run was small and "stinky". Showers/restrooms were unisex, and were individual rooms containing toilet, shower, and lavatory. Very practical. Not much provision for children or pets. Most sites were taken by long term residents. This is an OK place for overnight, but would not recommend it as a destination. We camped at Victorian RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sac West RV Park and Campground, West Sacramento, California

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $38.00

This park is a nice stopover if traveling in Central California. Fairly level gravel pull throughs with full service. Some grass next to the pond. There is a pond and camping facilities. Many permanent residents, but are located in the back of the park. Friendly, accommodating staff. Allowed off-leash dog exercise in a grass field adjacent to the park. We camped at Sac West RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
