Venture Out Resort, Cudjoe Key, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We found this to be a lovely, well run park. It is well landscaped; everything is either paved or covered in pea gravel meaning NO coral dust, a big deal in the Keys. The rules are strict but we like a tightly run park. Unlike the other reviewer we had no problem with our two dogs. You can walk them to the gate and beyond, not just around the various streets. We had a canal spot and it was simply heaven. We've already booked for next year. We camped at Venture Out Resort in a Motorhome.

Tampa South RV Resort, Ruskin, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Really pretty view if you get a site on the river. The pool is sparkling clean and the owners are very friendly. Having said that, we were glad to leave the sand and scrub. It got into everything. Our dogs had to be bathed twice in two days. We wouldn't go back unless there's some sodding done. We camped at Tampa South RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wapakoneta KOA, Wapakoneta, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Anyone who has any complaints about KOAs should come spend a night at this campground. The owners have done a wonderful job of landscaping and really making it a nice place to stay. There are new washrooms and showers, a large playground area for kids, a big pool, and a large pet area. Most of the sites are pull-thrus. We make a point of staying there twice yearly on our way to and from Florida and are really impressed with this KOA. We camped at Wapakoneta KOA in a Motorhome.

Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Wow. We've stayed here the last few years while on our way to/from Florida, but are blown away with the work that's been put into the place in the last year. There are umbrellas and patio sets at each site, along with new concrete patio pads. The landscaping is lovely; someone's got great taste. The best reason to go there, though, is the friendliness of the owners. They don't mind if you come in late and bend over backwards to make you welcome. I just wish we'd been there in the warmer weather because it would be a great place to spend a few days. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort, Citra, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

What a pleasant surprise! No expense spared here; amenities and grounds are first rate. We were given a pull-through site and couldn't believe the length; we could have parked two motorhomes end to end. This is golfer heaven but there's lots to do even if you don't golf. The only downside is the tiny pool and a 15 mile drive to get groceries. We camped at Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
