This park is right on the river. We walked in it and it was like bathwater :) I loved it, my hubby, not so much. Our dog loved it too! Our site was very sunny, but it's long and there's a cement pad for the table and setting up chairs. We did have to drive up on blocks. We had a full hook up. The park is pretty crowded, so be prepared. There was no WiFi. They have A LOT of rules, but we saw most folks breaking them, especially the one that indicates to tie up your dog. Mgt. didn't walk around, so I'm assuming the rules are not enforced well. We had two dogs race towards us. We are hoping to stay here again, but instead of a full hookup, we'll get one by the river.

I'd like to start with saying that the folks at this park are trying to make improvements. They were installing grass when we visited. They problem was the bathrooms were very dirty. I won't go into details, but my husband came out of them after we set up our site, and he looked green. Some campers are just nasty. The staff should have cleaned it up sooner than later. The new woman at the desk was simply delightful. Give her a raise! The other woman was not nice and curt. The good thing about this park was it's close proximity to Lake Castaic. It's about 1/3 mile down the road. Easy walk. We took our dog there and the park is HUGE. If you walk there, you don't have to pay. I doubt we would stay at this park again. I rather stay at the state rec. area even if you can't go into the lake.

I have no idea what the last reviewer was writing about when he gave this park a 6. This is one of the BEST parks we have ever stayed in. The bathrooms were immaculate! The park was so clean. The facility also has a variety of activities for their guest. It's right next to a walk next to the beach. The beach was closed due to it being unsafe, but the walk is still wonderful. We also ate at Dolphins. The food was ok, not great for the price, but it beats cooking in the RV! They do have a lot of rules, but it keeps the park clean. We had a family of ducks visit us every morning and night. They were so adorable. We would definitely visit again!

If you have kids, they will love this place. It has a wonderful water park. We only have a dog, so the waterpark isn't a big attraction, but the park was very nice. The main problem for us is that you can't go into the lake. We knew that before camping here, but it's still disappointing. Our campsite was wonderful. It had a nice flat slab and very wide. We had full hookups. If you want to shower outside of your rig, you have to go to the front entrance and pay. We stayed in the "F" section and all the sites looked nice. They are all pretty wide and have lots of stretching out room. The one thing the park needs to improve is their trail system. We could not find the trail on the map for our entire stay. We backpack frequently and have never had trouble finding a path. We may visit again.

Wonderful experience. We would definitely go back. We had just come from a private campground where we paid MUCH more money and their facility was no where near as nice as this state campground. The bathrooms were really nice :) We had a full hook up and a nice walk to the beach every day. You can take the trail to the beach, but it's easier to take the road. The campsites are very narrow and the dirt is the dusty kind that gets everywhere, but we liked the facility all the same. You're about 3 miles down from the main drag in Pismo. If you walk your dog on the beach (highly recommended!), they need to be on a leash. There are rangers everywhere. Happy Camping.

We've stayed here multiple times. We used to really love the facility. It's still great, but the bathrooms this time around were very disappointing. Two out of the three showers for the women were not working. The restrooms also could have been cleaner. For the price, we hoped the park was kept up better. The great thing about this park is its proximity to the beach. We walk our dog down the dune passage and she can run her legs off. The Wi-Fi also was average. The signal wasn't strong and sometimes didn't connect. I get up early, and that connection was the best. You can hear the highway if you are camping on that side. I wish they would allow us to pick our sites, especially for their return customers.

If you are looking for a close location to Carmel, then this is the place, however, don't expect much. The sites are big and there are some local eateries with good food. The WiFi also worked well. They were doing construction on sites when we were there, so the park was noisy. The bathrooms were clean, but you have to push the shower button approx. every minute to keep the water running. You also cannot adjust the temperature of the water. There are limited activities for kids, no playground or pool. We have dogs and the park is much too small to walk them around for decent exercise. 9 miles away, there is a huge regional park where we took the dogs every day. It was a hassle, but the park is a great place to walk big dogs. Beware, there are MANY loose dogs running around and their owners DO NOT have voice control over them. The owners also have three loose dogs running around the RV Park. We will not stay here again.

Enjoying this park really depends on what you are looking for in an RV park in Vegas. If you want good size sites, clean facilities, a pool, and other amenities, this park is for you. Sites 400-413 are pretty shady throughout the day. You can also check out sites 200-207 and 600-608. The next part of this review is for folks with dogs. We have two large dogs so we appreciate a park that allows us to walk them to get in good exercise. Although this park is large, you’re dog CAN NOT pee on ANYTHING along the way. Dog owners understand how HARD this is to do. So walks are filled with tugging and paranoia. This is the reason I rated this place a 7. This park has tons of dog runs for dogs under 40 pounds, but not a lot for bigger dogs. They could open up a few of their smaller dog runs to accommodate larger dogs. They have a larger dog “park” outside the grounds, but it’s horrible. It’s in the hot sun, few dog interactive play toys, and the pebbles make for unsure footing. Our dogs love to hike and hated it.

This campground is centrally located to Iowa City, Coralville, and the Amana Colonies. This is a great area to visit. We were pleasantly surprised. The WiFi worked fine, and the grounds were clean. The campground is in a beautiful setting. However, the park needs a bit of upkeep. We couldn't use the bathrooms because they smelled bad. They smelled like rusty pipes. The water on site is well water. I skipped showering because the smell was overpowering. I'm not sure we will return. The central location is a plus.

This is an ok spot for an overnight stop. The bathrooms were very clean and the water pressure was outstanding. Our site was level, but others complained their site was not. The WiFi never worked. I tried for two days. There was some space to walk our two active dogs, but you'll need bug spray. The bugs were vicious. There's also a pool for the kids. The hosts were very nice. The local pizza wasn't that great. The dough was under-cooked.

This is an ok spot for an overnight stop. The bathrooms were very clean. Our site was level. The sites were very close. I felt on top of our neighbors on both sides. The WiFi never worked. I tried for two days. The only spot to walk our two active dogs was around the campground.

This park has everything if you have dogs who love to romp. We have two large dogs who love to hike. There are two hiking trails on each end of the campground. One trail goes towards the rocks and the other goes to a lake. The one towards the lake is wonderful. After a hike through the rocks, we ended up on a beautiful grass field, which lead down to the lake. The Wi-Fi worked fine and our site was shady. The bathrooms odor made the ranking go down to a 9. It was over-powering. It was cleanser smelling, but too much for me to tolerate. Otherwise, great park. We would stay here again.

Great stay in Amarillo! We've stayed at another park two years ago and it was terrible. This park was a GREAT surprise! It has grass! They have a good amount of space to walk dogs. We ordered the pizza based on one of the recommendations on this site. Don't do that. The restrooms were clean, the hosts were nice, and the WiFi worked great. We would stay here again.

This park is ok for an overnight stop. They have a restaurant, which we enjoyed. The ribs were great and so was the tilapia (pleasantly surprised). The park was a typical desert site. There were limited places to walk our dogs. The WiFi worked fine. The hosts were nice too. The park did not offer us much in way of recreation so we would not stop here again.

This park is ok. If you like to swim, the pool area is amazing. It's beautiful. We have two dogs that love to romp and hike. There wasn't much for them to do. There is a very small beach area where they could play, but it was under the condition that no one else was here (we understood this). The restrooms were very far away from our site. The site was completely gravel. We probably will not stay again.
