Chinook Cove Golf & RV, Barriere, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

RV park is mainly for golfers, but as I'm not one, I did some exploring with my ADV bike in the area. I would have given a 10 overall, but there is a bit of dust raised by golfers in carts coming and going golfing and I am used to more elbow room. The sites are normal size, but it's a pretty new RV park and the trees are young and will be nicer in a few years. We camped at Chinook Cove Golf & RV in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Golf, explore back country, fish, canoe down the river. Lots to do in the area.

If you are interested in seeing some nice farming and want a little tour, Drive South across the river to Barrier and then North to Little Fort via the Chu Chua Indian reserve and Dunn Lake. You can then return to Chinook Cove after crossing the reaction ferry at Little Fort.

Good location by the river and a 10 minute walk into town. Quiet, but close to others. We camped at Chase Lions RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Typical small town stores with government liquor store and good grocery store. Check out the museum, local history logging, farming etc.

Not a golfer, so didn't play the course, but good boat launch and fishing in Little Shuswap Lake.

Camp fees are in Canadian Dollars.
