Ellis Haven Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this campground. It was last minute and close to home. We really enjoyed the lake as it was 80 degrees on Columbus Day weekend. We were close to the bathrooms, which was great, but the bathrooms need a rehaul. They were dirty and old...same with the showers. That's really the only bad thing I can say about this place. The staff was very nice and never came around to tell us to put our fire out, which seems to be a big complaint of mine. We walked all around this place, and everyone seemed very friendly, and the kids really enjoyed the park. I would camp here again. We camped at Ellis Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Pine Acres Family Camping Resort, Oakham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this campground. We didn't find it too crowded. We had great sites that were close to everything. The pool can get a little crowded...but you can go to the lake if that's the case. The bathrooms could use some updating but were clean when we were there. They had some good activities for the kids and we were never bothered by neighbors or staff. Some places have fire restrictions, but no one ever came over to tell us to put our fire out, which was nice. You can even have a fire in the morning, which we are noticing that's not the case for a lot of campgrounds. There were about 8 of us that camped, and we all really loved the place. We camped at Pine Acres Family Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Pine Acres RV Resort, Raymond, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoy Pine Acres. They have a lot for the kids to do, and the lake is really nice. They have some great sites overlooking the lake as well. Their bathrooms could use some updating. Their dances and activities are always a crowd pleaser. The staff seems very nice and we love how you can rent the golf carts. They are a little pricey but it makes the day a lot of fun. The seasonals really make their sites nice and they seem very friendly. I don't have much experience with the skate park or the mini golf but the kids say they like it. It's a great campground to walk around. We really enjoyed this campground. We camped at Pine Acres RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park , East Wareham, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We used to really enjoy Maple Park. Last year we went and they had a restriction of no fires before 4:30pm and they would come around before midnight and make you put the fire out with water. I've never encountered this. We love to have fires in the morning especially when it's cool out. So the 4:30pm thing we can't get past. It's a shame because their lake is nice, they have a cute dog beach and lots of activities for the kids. Their sites have become smaller and a lot of them are unlevel and sandy/dusty. I could deal with that..but not the fire restrictions. We camped at Maple Park Campground & RV Park (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.
