Three families spent New Years for the last two years. We stayed in sites away from the river due to the cold weather. Our sites did not include sewer, so at the end of a 6 day stay, we were at capacity on black water. The restrooms are fine, but no heat. The river is great, and lots of room between sites. We stayed at site 58-60. Deer and wildlife come through the site. Sites are dirt, but lots of room between campers. Nice small town of Kernville nearby.

A nice park with plenty of room between sites. Has a nice lake, horses and camels! It has an excellent playground for the kids. Trains run all night and day, but if you turn on your a/c fan at night, it shouldn't bother you. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Lots of room "behind the gate." Very rural including a flock of sheep which were herded through the site. We were visited by "Milo", the very large white dog from the nearby convent. Peaceful and quiet. Not busy, even during peak season. Room for at least 2 RVs at each site. Two lakes stocked with fish. A great getaway.
