Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Disney knows how to entertain. Horse-drawn wagon rides, horseback, boats, fishing, campfire program with Disney movie & characters, etc. Hands down the cleanest campground in America. Sites are very large (paved pad with sand & grill post, soon to be updated with all paved pad for Big Rigs). Campers of all sizes and types. We camp for 2-3 weeks every year here. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Gulch Resort Campground, New Holland, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campground store was nice. Staff seemed less than friendly. Our site was in the back, the campground is too big to be maintained properly. Playground equipment had graffiti on it. If your in the area, try Country Haven on the hill instead. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Roamers' Retreat Campground, Kinzers, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived they only site they had available was a pull in site. We were able to drop the trailer & drive thru the grass across the playground. We did have a problem when leaving. The site was on a small hill and the grass was wet. To connect the trailer I had to get a running start. Overall campground looked nice, but we will not return due to our negative experience. We camped at Roamers' Retreat Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Mill Stream Campground, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice family friendly campground. On the east side of Lancaster, next door to Dutch Wonderland. Free Wi-Fi with weak signal in certain areas. Most campsites have campfires at night. Staff & campers are always friendly. We camp here a half-dozen times a year. We camped at Old Mill Stream Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

On a previous visit we stayed in the Greenbriars (Mostly Seasonal Sites). This time we were on sites T1 & T2 on Trails End Rd. (walking distance to the lake. Nice sites, but Hick Neighbors). Nice clean lake for swimming. Camp store and pool is far from most sites. We camped at Ocean View Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Washington DC / Capitol KOA, Millersville, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

A little confusing to find, but it gets easier after a day or two. Easy access to New Carrollton Metro Station. Sites across from Office have a nice strong free Wi-Fi signal. No cable, but able to pick up several over-the-air channels. Sites in wooded area may be a little tight. We would stay here again. We camped at Washington DC / Capitol KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Valley Campsites, Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Entrance road is rough, needs fill & grading. Sites are nice size. Indoor pool is small to average size, outdoor pool is larger. Pool house seems dated. Camp store is small. Firewoods is available and inexpensive. Overall a nice campground for the price. Might stay again in the future, depends on what else is available in the area. We camped at Silver Valley Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines, Elmer, New Jersey

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Family-friendly campground with daily activities during the summer. We camped on sites 12 & 12 1/2, they face each other (one pulls in, the other backs in). Nicely stocked camp store. Very friendly family oriented staff. Pool was on the small side. Game room was outdated. Candy bar bingo & dinner nights were very nice. We are planning on staying here again this year. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Tall Pines in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground for the price. Very tight roads. All campsites are pull thrus. Water tree is very far away, bring 50 ft of hose. We would stay here again only in a small RV. Tree clearance is low. We camped at Turkey Swamp Park in a Fifth Wheel.
