Desert of Maine , Freeport, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, clean and very quiet campground. Sites are on the small side. Lacks a playground for children. Pool was out of order while we were there. The pool appeared to be of residential quality. We may camp here if in the area. We camped at Desert of Maine in a Travel Trailer.

Moose Hillock Campground, Warren, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Sites are very large. Getting into most sites is easy. The site we were on, there was a gully right across the road that made it very hard to turn in with our 30' trailer. Some of the sites are up very steep hills. Seasonals are in separate areas. Pool is great, the boys really liked it. WiFi is centered around the office, with spotty reception. Cell phone reception is non-existent. We were told to drive 20 miles in one direction or 6 miles into the other to get a cell phone signal. Staff is very nice. We are planning on going back, just a different site. We camped at Moose Hillock Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Winter Island Park Campground, Salem, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Great view of the ocean, but that is it. The water view sites are in a parking lot, and they can not be used if there is a function in the function room. Good for tent camping, with some sites in a Revolutionary War fort. Dumping is off site at the sewer plant. We will not go back. We camped at Winter Island Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The Beach Camping Area, North Conway, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at the great family campground. Has some seasonals; well kept and mixed in with weekenders. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever been in. We camped in sites 67 and 68, nice along the river. Sites are very large. We could have fit another rig on the same site. The river is very clear. Lots do do around the area. We camped at The Beach Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.
