Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely gorgeous park with tons of big trees and flowers everywhere. We've been here nearly a year and we pay a monthly rate. Monthly campers keep their campsites tidy and many have pots of flowers decorating their site. Shade is available in most areas of the park. The country store/office is really nice with a wide variety of items to sell. Our site has a wooden deck with seating all around, a picnic table, a charcoal grill and a fire ring. Our site is huge and we LOVE it! We camped at Basswood Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are several stocked lakes in the park for fishing (extra charge). There is also a nice pool and splash pad, large play structure, other playground areas and a large fenced dog run. Golf carts are available to rent on a daily basis. During the summer, there are activities for kids and adults. If you like to walk, this is a wonderful place to do it. The park is large and pretty hilly which adds to the beauty and makes it great for people who walk for exercise.

This is a nice park in a very desirable location in northeast Dallas. The facilities are very clean and nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. We are monthly campers and have been here nine months. There is a nice fenced dog park, pool and great clubhouse. We love it here! We camped at Sandy Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Walnut Grove RV Park, Merriam, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The owner is very sweet. There are a lot of monthly campers but they are very restricted about personalizing their lot. There is NO grass in the camping spaces, only gravel. We lived there for 9 months. They promised to forward our mail but that never happened. We would not stay there again. We camped at Walnut Grove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Perry KOA Campground, Perry, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this RV park - came for a few weeks and stayed almost a year! Friendly staff with beautiful wooded and/or sunny sites. The pool is extra nice and so are the pet walk and pet fetch area. I've heard the pool will be open all winter this year. We camped at Perry KOA Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Cove RV Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The lady in the office was very nice. The place is pretty unkempt although the facilities at our site functioned just fine. This could be a pretty campground if it was given some TLC and some of the monthlies need to clean up their sites. The price was very reasonable at $22. We camped at Shady Cove RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Navarre Beach Campground, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground, wonderful people, everything was clean and neat. The cabins are adorable and we would love to stay in one sometime, although this time we were in a camper. We were right next to the beach. The wireless internet signal was not great but we were able to use the guest computer and were happy campers! We loved our stay here and hope to return many times. We camped at Navarre Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.
