This park is beautiful, clean and quiet. The facilities are well kept. Some have complained that people seem to be homesteading here but even if they are their campsites are kept in very neat order so who cares. The camp sites have decks with picnic tables. It is a nice feature. We took advantage of the availability of the gazebo for a family picnic while we were there. It worked quite nicely. If I had any complaint about this location it would be that the sites are a bit less than level. This is understandable being as they are located along the hillside. Just be advised that you should have some sort of leveling device be it jacks, blocks or whatever. Laundry facilities were in great working order and rates were reasonable.

Open to military or DOD only. Sites are a little close together, but are angled and easy to back into regardless of RV size. Sites are all level concrete slabs. You are not located right on the water but it is a very very short walk away. Lots of sitting area right on the water. There are two children's playgrounds. They have a couple of treadmills in the rec center. There is a boathouse with rental boats and jet skis available. Great kayaking area. Pool is seasonal. It is an excellent place to stay with family.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. It is wonderful to listen to the Carillon as it plays during the day. The museums, both in the carillon and the separate building are wonderful. In spring, beautiful flowers are everywhere. The river was swollen while we were there. It was good to see after last year's drought. This stay we were fortunate enough to catch the shops at Craft Square open. Very nice. Camp sites are so nice and large and roomy. They are dirt but nice and level. Bathhouse is clean and in good running order. It is an easy walk from the campground to the carillon, museum, craft shops and river.

Great park. It is a short walk to the water. On the ocean side campground camping is right across the dune from the beach. No shade is available on the ocean campground. The bath house on the river campground is new and wonderfully clean. The only complaint would be that they have a sign saying it is closed between 10 and 2 for cleaning. You never know when they will show up during that time and one afternoon at 2:20 I was still waiting for them to finish up cleaning. That is a lot of time to have a bath house out of commission with a full campground.

The campground was very nice. We arrived right after a bad storm. The office had been flooded so they were experiencing some difficulties. The bathhouse was clean but only one shower had hot water. Due to the storm it did not have electricity for the first day that we were there (so no lights, etc.) They did have an electrician in to fit it the next morning. RV sites are large with a lot of space between them. We were not assigned a spot and we were just told to go and pick one. Not sure how that works during their busy season. They do have a pool but it is seasonal.
