Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Staff was friendly. Nothing glamourous, but very clean and well kept. Small but nice pool, the laundry room was clean and well kept. No sand around sites, all grass, rock and cement. Kind of a long drive, 30 minutes, to Destin/Ft. Walton area. That is probably the only bad thing. Sits on the bay, private cozy beach area. The bay is wonderful for the kids, easy for parents to keep eye on. Its not the pretty blue water of Destin, but still, very nice. Going back next year. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park, Amite, Louisiana

Do not stay at this campground! They were citied for price gouging after Katrina. They took advantage of people in a serious time of need. The Attorney General's office has pressed charges against management. We camped at Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Creek Campground, Independence, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Easter Weekend. Park in good condition post-Katrina. Some workers still living in park, but kept together and away from Rec Campers. Pool under const. (Re-furbishing)should be finished by now,(6/06). Great staff, activities e.g. karaoke, bingo and DJ. Great family campgnd. Not a plush park, rustic and a 'lived-in' feel. Needs more sewer sites. I will stay here again for sure. We camped at Indian Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
