Heritage RV Park, Augusta, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park has lots of landscaping at most of the sites. Our site was gravel with shrubbery, irrigation, a patio & brand new metal picnic table. The site has landscape lighting. The owner takes a lot of pride in ownership & wants everything just right. There are 3 entrance/ exits but only gate 1 has access to both sides of road in front of park. This has become a beautiful park. We camped at Heritage RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We had a very pleasant stay here. The park is behind a flea market but it was not open during the week so I don't know if the market is a negative. This park has very nice landscaping & small trees which add to its charm without causing satellite reception problems. The trees are on the sites so do not interfere with traveling on park roads. The park was completely full every night & there were 3 to 4 rigs parked on the road behind my site hooked up to overflow power & water. They were not any issue at all. These temporary hookups all had grassy area on the driver side of the road. Very quiet park with little road noise. I would definitely come back again. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bass Lake RV Campground, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is an overnight campground & there is lots of road noise. However the owner & staff were very friendly. You can wash your rig if you like. Very spacious sites in the overnight area but half have no sewer. Sites are grassy, water pressure excellent & there is a very pretty lake on property. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Dillon is a typical small town. We were there over Easter Weekend & there was no nice place to eat an Easter dinner. There are plenty of fast food places, barbecue & a southern buffet restaurant that has ok food. I got my 1 ton truck, washed, vacuumed & paste waxed for $65 which I thought was an excellent value. The place is about one mile south on 301 once you go into town

Lazy Acres Campground, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is very convenient to Fort Bragg & has Walmart & many other stores & restaurants nearby yet feels secluded. There is a nearby airport with very few flights & there was little noise from the airport & absolutely no traffic noise. The park was full every night. You certainly feel safe because over half of the park has semi permanent campers & many of them are Army Rangers & Special Forces. Even though there are a lot of extended stay folks the park is quiet & clean. The owner is a perfectionist & seems to work all day every day keeping things just right. A couple of weeks before my trip I tried to reserve 14 nights but was told that there would not be a site for me on the 14th night & only 13 days were available. At first I was suspicious since the 7th night each week is free but my 14th night was going into Easter weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find that we could stay the 14th night. Obviously the owner could have easily kept to the original reservation. I would definitely return again. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
