Country View Motel & RV Park, Wyoming, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We were very surprised when we arrived after reading the last review. This park is not a parking lot. We stayed in a pull through in a long site. The entire row has spacious grassy sites. The park has a lot of seasonal campers but the sites we saw were in good condition. Lots of golf carts but the people were courteous & quiet. The office was open till 9 pm & had snacks & hand dipped ice cream. The rate is high but I can see why they are charging so much since they are near the border crossing. I would stay here again. The main road in the park does need tree trimming. We camped at Country View Motel & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a beautiful little park with nice sized sites. Like many Canadian parks there are a lot of seasonal campers. These folks really keep their rigs looking nice. We would have stayed additional nights if we had time. We camped at Camping Saint-Basile in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a beautiful village. Ice cream shop downtown sells an ice cream cone for $4 small size. There small is equivalent to a large size elsewhere. There are numerous places to eat & prices are very reasonable for a tourist location. There are numerous whale watching boats & we saw several humpbacks as well as Minkes. There is a fantastic golf course with unbelievable views of the bay. This campground was one of the best of our trip through the Canadian Atlantic Provinces.

Harding's Point Campground, Harding's Point, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

As others have noted you must take a ferry to the campground. The ferry is free & runs 24 hours a day. There are actually two ferries. If you have a big rig you might be better waiting/timing it because this area has large tidal changes. My fifth wheel scraped against the asphalt as we were getting on the ferry to leave. We stayed on top of the hill & it's not as bad getting up there as some have said. There were several large fifth wheels & Class A motorhomes on the hill. The views of the river are beautiful. Even though we had 50amp services our Progressive Power protector kept kicking in as power often dropped below 104 volts on both legs. Fortunately it was cool enough to shut down the ac. We weren't the only campers with power issues. Our friends moved their rig to another site due to the poor power. I asked the office to check it but no one ever did which leads me to believe they are aware of their issues. The park is family run & the staff was very friendly & helpful other than with the power. This park is a half hour from downtown Saint Johns. We camped at Harding's Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Scotia Pines Campground, Brookfield, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a big park with lots of seasonal campers & many families. We were there on a Saturday night & they had a band & fireworks so it's hard to determine if this is a typical weekend night. Sewer & water are in the very rear of the sites so bring extra water & sewer hose. We would come back again. Most of the roads are difficult to maneuver although our site was easy to access. We camped at Scotia Pines Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Sands Family Camping, Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park is on the water & has very nice views. Most of the sites are seasonal & reservations aren't accepted but the owner told me he always makes room for everyone. The owner only accepts cash. If you're looking for amenities this is not for you. However if you're looking for nice campers who are very friendly & genuinely happy to have us overnighters this is a great place. The owner had a couple of classic cars at the park & loves to show them to you. There is a small town, Cap-Pele nearby with groceries & there's a seafood packing plant in town where you can buy fresh lobster, crabs, etc. for very reasonable prices. We camped at Silver Sands Family Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

River Haven Campground, Tabusintac, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park is set on a hill with s beautiful view of the Tabusintac River & has swimming, clamming, & kayaking right from the campground docks on the river. There is a very nice pool. The sites are all in the sun which is not a problem with the moderate climate in July. Warm days & cool nights. The park is about 2 miles from Route 11. Nice paved road into the park. The campground is owned by a very nice couple who were willing to do whatever they can to make your visit pleasant. They host a evening by a community camp fire. Pickle Ball is available. We had a 50 amp site with no power issues. Water pressure is good & cold. There are several nearby small towns to visit. The park was not crowded. It's a gem that no one seems to know about & a great change from the crowded parks on the bay front. We would definitely return again. We extended our stay from the original 2 nights to 5 nights. They are Passport America & honored our card for the entire stay. The rate above is before the discount for Passport America. We camped at River Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Heron Campground, Charlo, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights. The sites are very large. I would estimate our site to be 100 X 100 feet. The campground is family owned & run. The hosts are very nice & very helpful. They speak English & French. Beautiful view of the bay. We were able to purchase cooked lobsters within a mile of the campground. Paved roads throughout. Laundry is clean. We would definitely stay here again We camped at Blue Heron Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Coldbrook Resort Campground, Gansevoort, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We had to make last minute reservations for the weekend leading up to Wed, July 4th. The manager, Cricket found us a 30 amp site when we called on Thursday. When we arrived on Friday, she was able to secure us a 50 amp site which was very good since temperatures were in the mid 90's all weekend. The manager & staff were very nice to us. The folks Camping were very courteous to each other & even though many sites had multiple vehicles there were no loud parties. Last of all, the power stayed at 115 volts plus all weekend even though everyone was using their AC. I would definitely camp there again. We camped at Coldbrook Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park needs s very small but is a real gem. It's not a resort, just a very nice little park with amazing owners.
