Swan Lake RV Resort, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here for a few months over summer every year. It is a nice place with cemented pads and a grass area at each site and they have a lot of room for class A rigs, but the north side has a wall in front of each site making it hard to get into. There is no view for class A rigs because the view is to the rear. They have now priced themselves out of the market. It is now $1000.00 plus HST (tax) which puts it over $1200.00 with the power charge. More and more park models are moving in, making less spaces for RV rentals in the future. We camped at Swan Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fountain of Youth Spa, Niland, California

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Fountain of Youth was recommended to us so we tried it out for a week. The people and residents were very friendly. Here are the reasons I did not give it a 10. There is a bird sanctuary nearby and Bombay Beach and Slab City are worth while visiting. It is far from any town with proper food supplies. Lastly do not follow your GPS for directions. It will send you miles down a gravel road and say you have arrived when you are in the middle of nowhere. Go on the highway until you see their signs. We camped at Fountain of Youth Spa in a Fifth Wheel.

Merry Widow Health Mine and Campground, Basin, Montana

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Park was updated in 2005 with new power, sewer and water. All sites are nice and level. Park is open March 1st to November 15th. We arrived November 6th, and they kept the water on for us. You can come here for just camping and not be obligated to use the health facility. Everyone was very friendly. We camped at Merry Widow Health Mine and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Swan Lake RV Resort, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park by the water. Staff is really nice and friendly. The problem is the sites are getting more and more full time park models and the residents feel it's their responsibility to boss the RVers around, even though they don't work for the office. We also stayed here last year and noticed the big change when we stayed this year. I don't expect sites to be available for too long as they are filling them with full time park models. We camped at Swan Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for 2 weeks right across from the lake. Nice cement sites with grass. Very clean. Alot of park models in there as they are also selling the sites. We camped at Swan Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Star RV Park, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and it looked too scarry. Looked like alot of full time residents there who were very messy, garbage all around their trailers. We left. Hopefully they cleaned it up since. We camped at Silver Star RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
