Susquehanna Trail Campground, Oneonta, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Used PPA - ok for an overnight stop. GPS will take you the wrong way. Small park, but sewer available. Close to Interstate, but no noise. We camped at Susquehanna Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Pope Haven Campground, Randolph, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel road with lots of dust, very hilly getting there, weird layout for the park. Stayed using PPA - really too far away from highway to be a good overnight stop. Will not stay here again. We camped at Pope Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Resort, Joliet, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice layout, good sized sites. Would have rated higher expect for having been told that we wouldn't fit in a back in site, when we would have and the outrageous price of $45/night! We camped at Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Eaton County Fairgrounds, Charlotte, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Water is scattered throughout, so long hoses are needed. For a few days, good place to stop. We camped at Eaton County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground), Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Rate for electric/water only with Escapees discount. Good place to stay for overnight. Tight sites but ok. Interstate 80 noise is a constant hum - offset by the air/conditioner running and fans because of the heat. We camped at Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground) in a Motorhome.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Good overnight stop - 1/2 mile from I-80, so noise isn't a constant pounding all night! Easy to get to, 50 amp power which is a plus in this heat. Would stay again. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Motorhome.

Pioneer RV Park, Hermiston, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Tight getting into and out of sites - lots of cars parked in the street area and the turns are TIGHT! Appears most are long stays, with some overnights. Overpriced, but then everything seems to be, as there are no amenities. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pheasant Ridge RV Resort, Wilsonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty park, nice staff, but the size of the sites and the horrible way you are put into them; we will have to back out because we can't go forward in a pull through site! Plus they have sumble strips every few feet and don't know how to angle them enough so that big rigs don't get jolted. Then there is the dip coming into the park that gives the rig a big jolt. Also they have enough rules to choke a horse, maybe because of so many who are stationery renters. It could be so nice if they knew anything about how to run a park. We camped at Pheasant Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Imperial Manor MHC (55+park), Citrus Heights, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Great find for a quick stop over to visit friends in the area. A little tight getting in and out for a motorhome, but doable. Nice managers. Will stay again if in the area. We camped at Imperial Manor MHC (55+park) in a Motorhome.

Valencia Travel Village, Castaic, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Used PPA for 3 nights. Close to everything we needed. The short term sites are pull-through, but you need to unhook because all utilities are in the back of the site, plus the roads are narrow and not much turning room available into the site. Will stay again when we are in the area. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Palm Springs RV Resort, Palm Desert, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Really tight getting into and out of the back-in sites. And if you want 50 amp it has to be the back-in sites. They could take out some of the palm trees and make things easier. Windy the whole time and lots of sand blowing through. Not our favorite TT park. We camped at Thousand Trails - Palm Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

They have put in stakes so you can tell where the end of the site is - makes pulling in so much easier. Still overpriced, but is clean, safe, nice little cafe for breakfast, beats the other places nearby. We camped at Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA) in a Motorhome.

Hickory Creek COE, Lewisville, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2012 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

They almost doubled the price from last year. No improvement in facilities, just double the price. Our price reflects the senior discount. Increased price has cut down on the number of people here. Except for holidays, looks like a lot of sites are always vacant. We camped at Hickory Creek COE in a Motorhome.
