Clark Canyon Recreation Area, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Didn't stay - pulled in and large sign says to Boil Water - - not going to stay for that. Place is kind of a DUMP. Not like the COE parks which is what I was expecting. We camped at Clark Canyon Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Portland Fairview RV Park, Fairview, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Don't know what park the reviewer who gave this a 2 was talking about, but it certainly wasn't this park. Convenient, clean, easy to maneuver, easy to get to places we wanted to visit. We will certainly stay here again when in the area. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park), Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I'm not sure where the others were staying, but as before, we had a nice site, area was clean, all we could want to do in the park, easy access to all of the area. Yes, there was a horrible condition down on Main Street with the construction, but using the back gate off of University eliminated the need to go near it. Yes, there was dust from construction, the park has no control over that, and shouldn't be down rated because of it. Laundry, rest rooms, and pools at the north end of the park where we were: all clean and usable. Only problem we saw was not enough recyclable containers and some of the residents would put garbage in the recycle containers. Again not the park's fault that some people are so dumb. There are some sites that slope towards the road for drainage, but nothing that is impossible to level on. In fact, if you can't level you shouldn't be RVing. Yes, there are lots of Park Models around the park. This is a 55+ park in Mesa: of course there are park models. I'm not sure where some of these people stayed, because it sure wasn't at the Mesa Spirit that we were at! We will be back again for the 2011-2012 season. We camped at Mesa Spirit RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort, Ashdown, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Nice and quiet. To bad the golf course and restaurant aren't open on Mondays. Being an ROD park makes the price right for us. We camped at Millwood Landing Golf & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Would have rated higher but if you stay for more than one night, you are put in the back, not up by the river. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Safe Harbor RV Park, Riverside, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of noise from the road behind us and the trains at night. Sites are really close together and tilt down for drainage. OK for an overnight. Manager very nice, but wouldn't stay longer than overnight. Would have rated higher but getting out with a big rig is a problem due to the way the drive meets the highway. Definitely need to fix that. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old Federal COE, Flowery Branch, Georgia

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem. We really love Corps parks, especially with the senior discount. This one also had w/d at each rest room area. Had we stayed longer, would have used them. Loved seeing all the sailboats go past our spot each day. A little much of a drive each day to Atlanta to visit friends, but the inexpensive price more than paid for gas used. And nice wineries to the north make for a great day trip. We camped at Old Federal COE in a Motorhome.

Willow Beach COE, Scott, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A wonderful US Army Corps of Engineers park just outside of North Little Rock. Ideal for seeing Little Rock. Small and quiet park. Lots of armadillos around - our cat wanted to hunt them. Great deal with the senior pass. Just off of I-440. We camped at Willow Beach COE in a Motorhome.

Great city park but a little over priced. That said, had a nice pull through site. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at River Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Shore Resort, Davison, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

They have gotten so big it is no longer a friendly place to be. Had no maps when we checked in - didn't tell me they had opened up a back entrance, so what had been a quiet area is now a noisy main street. Didn't tell me that sites across the lake were available to those using affiliate memberships. In fact couldn't be bothered with anything but yelling that everyone was going to fast - except for the hundreds and hundreds of golf carts with teenagers careening all over. Upkeep on sites is non-existent. Most need additional gravel to support rigs, drainage is still a problem. That said, if you are staying in the Flint area, there is not much else available. We camped at Lake Shore Resort in a Motorhome.

Benjamin's Beaver Creek Resort, Gaylord, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

What a poor excuse for a membership park. We came in under ROD and left early. I got tired of no water pressure from 10:00 pm until 10:00 am and the power going at in the middle of the night. Site was so bad we had to angle in in order to reach the hookups. Water and electric are at the road and ganged together so every other site is on the wrong side for hooking up. Make sure you have got long hoses and extension cords. Road is a disaster and the locals run up and down at excessive speed making the numerous potholes worse. The personnel went through the park with the honey wagon dragging the hose on the ground and leaking sewage all down the street! Go somewhere else. We will never stop here again. We camped at Benjamin's Beaver Creek Resort in a Motorhome.

Rustic Barn RV Park, Kieler, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I wondered if we were at a different park than everyone else. When we called we asked if they had a 50 amp site with the ability to use our satellite tripod. Site we got was 30 amp, and we had to run 100' of cable across the road to get satellite reception. In addition, the site was so unlevel we had to use boards under tires and couldn't put out the front slide because we were so close to the rig next to us. Manager/owner wouldn't move us to a better site because he had "parties" coming in. Level 50 amp sites sat vacant all weekend, the 'parties' evidently never showed. Would not stay here again! We camped at Rustic Barn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hart Ranch Camping Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

If you are member of Coast-to-Coast, you get stuck in their "meadow". Dust bowl is more like it. It is pit which means it gets HOT, power isn't good, WiFi is non existent except at 2:00 am and people are not friendly when you register. You make their life difficult and they really don't want to deal with you. We will never come here again. They lost a possible membership sell to us because of their attitude. We camped at Hart Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Downstream COE, Fort Peck, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Another COE park without water at the sites - must be something in the upper midwest. Nice park but they don't seem to enforce leash requirements for dogs - had several running loose all over the park. Nice sized sites and nice tour of dam close by. We camped at Downstream COE in a Motorhome.
