My family has been staying at Mill Creek Campground for a number of years. It's only a few miles from downtown, but it's far enough away from the hustle and bustle that we can relax there without being in the middle of downtown. Actually they expanded a lot of the sites last year, so there are bigger sites for RVs now and they upped the electric, too. It's been really busy on the fourth of July before, but other times we have stayed there when it wasn't a holiday, it wasn't too bad. They always seem to be upgrading stuff, last year they added Wi-Fi coverage, so I was able to get the laptop online. They even remodeled the shower buildings, which are really nice now. We even got free use of the driving range at their new golf course a few miles away. I would recommend this place any day. We'll keep going back, the family that owns/runs the place is really nice and that's number one in my book.

This was where we spent the fourth of July in 2007. They make you pay for time in the shower, which is just not right in my book. Lots of people stayed on the grounds while we were there, but most of them kept to themselves. Personally, I spent a great deal of time riding my bike back and forth through the property on the paved road. The lake is really nice, too.

Park was clean, but extremely crowded. It's an alternative to a hotel, but just as busy and just as close to downtown. As we pulled in you could see many of the sites right from the highway. Will not come back here, it doesn't feel like camping, it feels more like just one more place to get crowded in to.
