Camp-N-Town, Carson City, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice clean park in north Carson City with asphalt roads and gravel spaces. Well kept and maintained. Staff is great. Quiet park. Wish the spaces were paved as the gravel is large coarse and rough to walk on. Hard on our old dog's feet. Great value. We stayed in our 40' Monaco pusher. We camped at Camp-N-Town in a Motorhome.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed several months at $560/month. Large spaces, grass, trees and gravel between. Paved spaces but most slope sideways a little so may need blocks to level. Nice management. Some I 80 and rail noise, but OK. Good value and clean, lots of walking trails in Sierra foothills. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Motorhome.

West Palm Beach/Lion Country Safari KOA, Loxahatchee, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We saw this on the Travel Channel and went to see it on a drive down to the Keys, since it is on the way. It is a comfortable, neat KOA campground with friendly staff and accepts everything. Limit is 40' and our Monaco Dynasty 40 just fit. It is very organized and monitored 24 hours a day with a very good staff. Late night and morning the Lions are very noisy and hungry! Apparently they feed them every third day, so I suspect the 2nd and 3rd days are the noisiest. No complaints but it is weird to hear very loud lions roaring. And we found out it was breeding time, so the males more loud than normal. Good fun, very easy atmosphere, nice store. A good time for all. Well recommended as a unique park. We camped at West Palm Beach/Lion Country Safari KOA in a Motorhome.

Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort, Naples, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very high end luxury RV resort for class A large diesel motorhomes. Beautifully done and landscaped lots mostly privately owned but some are for sale in the $200-$400K range with about 40% on the lake front which is very beautiful and well landscaped. It is like going to a very nice golf country club. We have a nice Monaco Dynasty 40' tag which we think is great but it was definitely in the lower end of the MHs there with an abundance of Prevosts, Newells, Beavers and other super high end coaches. They require you have a luxury motor home to use the facilities. It is very clean and the staff is nice and leaves you alone. Off season was $60 which I consider very reasonable considering the large lot of 60' x 120' done with paver's, planters, exotic palm trees and tropical landscaping. It probably deserves a 10 but it was a bit too sterile and neat for us. Note the west end is too close to the highway and somewhat noisy. I recommend it highly to those that are looking for something like this and we will probably visit again. We camped at Pelican Lake Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Bluewater Key RV Resort, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very upper end Luxury RV resort unlike anything you probably have ever been to. All the lots are privately owned and personally landscaped. The rates are also in the very upper end and we were very well treated. We have a Monaco Dynasty 40' tag which we think is very nice, but this was pretty much the least expensive unit in the place. Understand that these lots sell for $400-$750K, yes K! so renting them for $105 in the off season is really not bad. We had a beautiful waterfront lot with private dock, tiki hut, wet bar, beautiful tables and chairs. I slept each day under the tiki hut for 4 hours with the warm ocean breeze coming in. I have never relaxed so much in years. This is clearly the best place we have ever been and we will try to return at least twice a year. Very highly recommended if this is your cup of tea. The staff was great and everyone was friendly but not pests. If you have a big diesel class A luxury MH, you will not be disappointed. It is the place to relax and enjoy yourself. We camped at Bluewater Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.
