Clean, quiet, well-groomed campground. Restrooms/showers were very clean. Has lots of activities. Pool is very nice. Owners/staff are friendly and helpful. Our pull-through site was long and level. Close to I-70 but noise wasn't a problem. Seem to be several seasonal campers here. Needs gravel added to roads and sites. Overall a very nice park, we would stay at again.

Date of Stay:

We stayed in "B" loop. Many camp sites here become bogs when it rains, which it did on both Friday and Saturday nights. The campground is in a heavily wooded area, so there are no sites in "B" loop with grass, and only a few in "A" loop. Lack of grass makes for a muddy mess on a wet trip. Though as a former employee I'll always have a fond spot in my heart for this park, picking a campsite is a crap shoot unless you are familiar with the site you are reserving. Our site wasn't a bog, but then again, I know which sites to avoid.

Date of Stay:

Stayed in Section 2 electric. Beautiful campground. Relatively quiet even though we stayed a holiday weekend. All sites have water and electric, unusual for an Indiana State Park. All sites are large and many form nice community areas if you have a group camping together. If you look at the map and draw a line from the entrance road straight back through the campground the site to the right of that line will be better. Sites to the left are lower elevation and would tend to get muddier on a wet weekend. Also, sites on the far left are entirely shaded, nice in the summer but muddy in the spring.

Attractive park. Near I-70 but quiet. Owners very friendly. Roads need new gravel, lots of standing water when it rains.
