Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The only issue we had with the park was the thorns from the weeds. They are everywhere and they're working on it. Several got in our dogs feet and they were tough to get out and painful. It's still a great place. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crook County RV Park, Prineville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

If there's a fair going on, it would be wild but since there wasn't, it was quiet and calm here. My only issue was the wifi. It just didn't work. We could see the antenna but NO service. We brought it to their attention and they reportedly rebooted, but still zippo. Other issue, they need to print a channel guide. I know it's minor but an inconvenience. That said, we'd stay again. We camped at Crook County RV Park in a Motorhome.

Columbia River RV, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The airport noise during the day can't be missed, but at night the airport stops operation and it's relatively quiet. We're here to visit the area so the day noise is no big deal. The park is a short distance from downtown and the traffic, while heavy, is not to bad. Friendly people in the office and staying here too. The "dog park" across the street isn't much, but there is a city fenced in park 6 minutes away. We'll stay again. We camped at Columbia River RV in a Motorhome.

Memaloose State Park, Hood River, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice state park. The hook-ups were good and 30 amps was enough. We actually got antenna reception. The camp hosts were around and helpful and friendly. We will stay again when we are back this way. We camped at Memaloose State Park in a Motorhome.

Ventura Beach RV Resort, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in site #7 and had to work at getting in. The trees were brushing the sides of our coach and the slides were in the leaves. Forget about the awning. We were 100 yards from the office and the Wi-Fi signal was terrible. I had to sit outside the office to send this as it was the only location for a decent signal. The freeway noise is non-stop and being 50 yards from Highway 101, it's loud. Beggars can't be choosers and its one week before the Fourth of July, so here we are for 2 nights, but we won't be back. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

What a great place! We came as a group so we received a group rate. Even at full price, this is definitely worth the price. The golf course is wonderful, the pools and spa are clean and hot, laundry rooms are clean and "cool". About the only thing I could ask for is a little lower temperature, but if you're in the desert in April, it's going to be "warm". Our site was clean and the "sand" beyond the concrete pad was raked and debris clean. We were escorted to our site ensuring that we did not protrude into the street. Nice touch. The "camp hosts" were around all the time and while not intrusive, they always wanted to know if there was anything we needed. GREAT PLACE!! We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Doc and Al's, Bridgeport, California

Date of Stay: September, 2010 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Doc and Al's is located in a wonderful setting. it's just to bad that the staff isn't just as wonderful. They don't take reservations and we decided to chance it and go there anyway. When we arrived we were told to just go look for a spot with full hook ups. When we "looked" there were no full hoop ups available. Back to the office and once again were to to just go find a spot. We decided to dry camp on the grassy area for the night. We located a park with full hook ups and left the next day. I will not stay there again. It's to bad because being on Robinson Creek is really great. We camped at Doc and Al's in a Motorhome.

Ventura Beach RV Resort, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

It's a nice park but the posted rate does not include the $5 per night tax and the $4 per night per dog charge. If someone had picked up the dog waste other campers had left behind, it wouldn't have bothered me as much. Since it was there and I still had to pay, I was not a happy camper. Don't look for me to return: too much $$$$ for what you get! We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Emma Wood State Beach, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: February, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are for 40 ft max. Much more than that and you will be in the next site. Our neighbors were friendly and cooperative. There is a sign posted on the money collection post warning of theft and advising that you should not leave anything outside but rather store it out of sight. We chained our bikes to our coach and had not issues. We will be back and yes its "dry camping" but worth it for the view and beach. We camped at Emma Wood State Beach in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Like other reviewers, I only have good things to say. We wanted wood, they delivered. We wanted to wash our coach, they delivered a hose. Needless to say, the people at the gate were wonderful. While the lake was low on water, the view was not. The dogs had lots to sniff and a great place to do it in. Whatever you do, don't tell anyone about this place, I want to be able to get in again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the other reviewers, this place is great. It's close to the interstate so there is some road noise but not enough to keep me away. I'll stay here again when traveling. Nice desk staff, escorted to our site with raked gravel. "Maggies" on Friday night, CC cookies when we checked in, breakfast in the AM, really nice long dog run. As they say in California, "I'll be back". We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lost Alaskan RV Park, Alpine, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the best park in town. Yes the site are gravel and so is the road in the park, but it's fairly level and maintained. The people at the desk are friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site. We have two dogs and wanted to be close to the large grassy dog run so they assigned us a close site. We camped at Lost Alaskan RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2008 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The people at the entrance gate were wonderful. We wanted some fire wood and they delivered to our site #19. We had a great view of the lake and although the lake was low on water, it was still great. Clean site, great for kids and dogs. Tons of places to eat and countless things to do. If you're here in November and December, don't miss the "ICE" display at the Gaylord Hotel. Fantastic life size ice carvings. It's a long way from home but we will stay again and would detour to stay here. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan, Santa Barbara, California

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Like the other reviewers, I found this to be a wonderful park. It's clean, well kept, the staff is friendly and helpful. The fenced dog run is well kept. I would have rated this park higher but for the nightly rate. I think that $90 per night is excessive. At $20 less it would be a ten. We will probably stay there again as we cannot stay as the state park across the freeway due to rig size. We camped at Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan in a Motorhome.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

I would have rated this park higher except we were assigned a space next to the security check entrance and adjoining a storage building. We could not extend our awning and the space was definitely small. We were told that the space would be upgraded this year and it definitely needs it. The sewer vent is next to the site and smells badly. The power and water connections need fixing too. On the plus side, it's a great place for kids and has great access to the beach and dogs are allowed. There is an on site restaurant but it's not opern everyday. We will definitely stay here again but will be reserving a specific site. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.
