Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely stunning resort and grounds. Nice level gravel pads with some tree encased. Nice store, gas station and breakfast pavilion. The pool was clean, heated and sparkling every day. Well maintained and attentive staff. Only complaint was the Internet availability. Due to too many people using Netflix they have blocked access to anything that can download video which includes NBC, ABC, CBS news CNBC and others similar sites to keep the bandwidth available for all campers. We camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Good park to overnight in while in Wall. Sites are level gravel with good hookups. Some sites could be a little tight turning for anything over 40' and towing. Nice dog run area. Friendly staff. Has late checkout feature of $3/hr for each hour past 11 AM. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Des Moines West KOA, Adel, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with good access and level sites. Very nice grass and tree area for the tent campers. The store is well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They had done some utility repair and the ruts and some other places in the park road need a load of gravel in the low spots to keep the mud down since it had just rained while we were there. Not a fan of KOA pricing, but would stay here again if I was in the area. We camped at Des Moines West KOA in a Motorhome.
