Camp Bell Campground, Campbell, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This was a wonderful campground for an over night stay driving across ny state. I don't remember the exact price we paid but it was well worth it. Pull thru sites large enough to stay hooked up which is a plus for me when looking for just an overnight stop. A lot of them faced each other which would have been even better if traveling with parents and their camper like we do a lot of the time. The playground was wonderful. The pool looked great (even though it was closed as we where here in October). The person checking me in was very friendly and helpful (owner maybe?). Yes there were a lot of permanent sites but they where well maintained.

The possible downsides: some traffic noise (but to be expected with a place easy off easy on). The overnight spots lacked shade from what I could see (no problem in October). No sewer hook ups but an easy to get to dump station. The site was grass which was great for our son and dogs to play in but might be a problem with heavy rain.

We will stay here again for an overnight (drive across by state at least twice a year)and might stay a few nights to explore this area time permitted. We camped at Camp Bell Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Smith Lake Army RV Park (Military FamCamp), Fort Bragg Army Post, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice campground. Staff was very helpful. Only complaint that I could have of this campground, and it is a very minor complaint, is that you need a separate fishing license to fish in the lake, and it is not available at the camp office. If they had been able to issue this license, I would have rated this camp a 10. We camped at Smith Lake Army RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Warrior Creek COE, Wilkesboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Just spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at this campground. I couldn't begin to say enough about this place. Beautiful views in every direction. Great fishing spots in the campground and all around the lake. Rated this a 9 for only two reasons, the water pressure was low (not a huge deal) and the dump station was poorly marked. But I had a great time nevertheless and will be back again. We camped at Warrior Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Flatwoods KOA, Sutton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fine stop over campground while traveling through WV on I-79. Otherwise, it is too expensive for what it offers. We camped at Flatwoods KOA in a Travel Trailer.
