Oak Grove Park, Hatfield, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were so very disapointed. We wanted to tour Valley Forge and found this campground to be too far from the park. The cable did not work, the office was not open, the park is not dog friendly at all. The rate of $38.00 (cash only) was unacceptable. It is a $22.00 park at best. We stayed only one night and left as early as we could get the car hooked up. We camped at Oak Grove Park in a Motorhome.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very nice. Level sites, good water pressure, nice shade trees on alot of the sites. The managers were very friendly and loved our dog! We did laundry in the very clean laundry room. It is centrally located to shopping (Wal-Mart is just down the road), and beautiful parks. We would stay here again. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Motorhome.

Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

I think this campground is slightly underrated. The owners are friendly, Wi-Fi is good, pull thru sites are large enough for big rigs. It was easy access to all the Aliens sites, museums, t-shirts, and other other tacky stuff. We would stay here again. We camped at Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Kampfires (formerly Hidden Acres Campground), Brattleboro, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We found this campground to be very pleasant. The campgrounds Wi-Fi worked very well, (at campsite #4), very level, pool, laundry in good shape. Our Verizon air card worked well also. We had good cell phone coverage, and would stay here again. The owners were very friendly. Small well stocked camp store. Check with campground for Big-Rig spots, not all are suitable. We camped at Kampfires (formerly Hidden Acres Campground) in a Motorhome.

Paul B. Johnson State Park, Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very clean and the park has added 15 to 20 new very level, concrete pull through pads. These all had 50 amp, sewer, and a good view of lake. We stayed only one night and would stay here again. We camped at Paul B. Johnson State Park in a Motorhome.

Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park, Vicksburg, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were pleased with this campground. It is very well kept, safe-feeling and secure. The campground has a small pool, and small laundry facility and all very neat. Also has concrete pads, very level sites, regular trash pickup and great internet. This campground is close to all the attractions and very near a Super Wal-Mart. We would stay here again. We camped at Ameristar Vicksburg RV Park in a Motorhome.

River's End Campground & RV Park, Tybee Island, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is on Tybee Island and you must drive through Savanah to get to it. The campground in nestled between houses, in a residential neighborhood and signage to the campground is not very good. That being said, the folks were friendly, and sites were clean, cable TV was very good. The reasons to stay here are numerous. You can ride your bike to the beach, visit Fort Olglethorpe, tour the light house and museum and the battery all very close by. There is nothing fancy about the campground but it is a very good place to spend 2 or 3 days. We camped at River's End Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We called ahead as well and they held a spot. This campground is very hilly but not too bad to maneuver. THIS IS A CASH ONLY PARK, we were surprised to find they would not take any credit cards. The laundry is one washer and one dryer. The owners are on site and making improvement everyday. It is not far off the Trace and easy to get into and out of. It is about 30 mins to Red Bay Al for the Tiffen people. Do not try to ride your bike (unless you like steep hills), there are paved roads but quite difficult to ride. We would stay here agian. We camped at Campground at Barnes Crossing in a Motorhome.

Peach Queen Campground, Jemison, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here as an overnighter. Again the owners were very friendly and we had the campground all to our selves, this night only about 10 campers. The sites are grassy and level. We ran our satellite and found some shade and some open campsites. The pool appeared clean but we did not stay long enough to get wet. All the sites were pull through and we stayed hooked up for an early morning departure. I think some discounts (Passport America or Good Sam) would help their occupancy rate. We would stay there again for a place to stop overnight. We were very close to the interstate and backed up to small truck stop, there was no road noise. We camped at Peach Queen Campground in a Motorhome.

Florida Caverns State Park, Marianna, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We thought the park was little more motor home friendly than some of the Florida State Parks. We had a nice large site and found the sand roads and site to be good enough fop a few nights. We had no cell service or internet (Verizon air card did not work). The cave tour was exceptional and we highly recommend this Florida Park. There are several exhibits and many photo ops along the way. The park is very quite and we would stay again. We camped at Florida Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.

Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the closest park to Lexington if you are visiting. The sites are very grassy and level. The park was extremely crowded when we were there and kids, swimming, basketball, modpes, and bike riding was in full gear. The overflow area had many campers and the dump stations were quite crowded as we left on a Sunday. The campground was too active for us. We would have preferred a quieter setting. The sites are very large and set up for larger rigs. The roads are paved and very flat. The park is quite close restaurants and other attractions. We would stay there again but would pick a less busy time of year. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Crystal Isles Resort, Crystal River, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We found this park to be more favorable than the reviews suggest. The pool was great, we had a lake Front site and great views. The roads are narrow and need repaving. Passport America accepted and staff were quite helpful when we were there. Will stay there again and take our boat. Good boat ramp for smaller boats on Canal. We camped at Crystal Isles Resort in a Motorhome.
