Phoenix RV Park, Salem, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

A quiet and fairly spacious park right near a busy crossroads - but that gave us good walking access to groceries and other supplies. It was near a dealer we needed to see for repairs, and we would stay here again if we needed to - but no great views or recreation facilities on site. We camped at Phoenix RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Columbia River RV, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean park, and good access to a great bike route along the river. But being right under the flight path was noisy during the day, though traffic noise from the road was minimal. The Wifi connection was not free, and using our AirCard we had a very slow connection. We picked the park since we thought it had access to the light rail - but that was over a mile away, with no good bus connection. We'd stay here again if we needed to get to the airport, but it has no great appeal beyond that. We camped at Columbia River RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site, Mt Vernon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Great shady sites with plenty of space around them. Only 31 RV sites (1 pull thru) which are good, spacious and paved. The rest are tent sites. Good access to John Day and to the Fossil beds. We camped at Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site in a Fifth Wheel.

Boise Riverside RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We were not able to stay here, but checked out the site and it is quite convenient to the baseball park, fair grounds and the Greenbelt bike trail. A fairly basic looking park, but in a great location. We camped at Boise Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hi Valley RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and orderly, but the sites only have a small strip of grass. But it's in a pretty good location to get to downtown Boise, and it is not on the interstate so it is relatively quiet. Large laundry unit, and a good rec room We camped at Hi Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very small, tight sites - easy enough to pull in to but no good green space around. Has an OK pool. A good overnight stop but I wouldn't stay here long. We camped at Vernal / Dinosaurland KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

River's Edge at Deer Park, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced for the facilities that are here - but they say they are redoing for next year. Sites were plenty big with some green space, but only a few showers and a small laundry for this big a park. You're at the end of a canyon so pretty quiet, but with good access to the main road. We camped at River's Edge at Deer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park), Englewood, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We ended up staying 2 weeks here since we got one of the mobile home sites that was much roomier than the RV sites. A great pool, and super access to biking trails and to stores and downtown Denver. Good inexpensive laundry and lots of common facilities since there is a long-time community living here. Friendly people. We would go back. Good weekly rates We camped at South Park Mobile Home Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Pikes Peak RV Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small sites and most are back-ins. But very friendly and helpful people. You can bike to Garden of the Gods from here, and its a short walk into town so the location is super. And the little stream lets you feel like you're in the county. We camped at Pikes Peak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gunnison KOA, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Uneven sites with some awkward spacing between sites. But good access to some biking roads and only a little bit out of town. Would use again as a stop over site. We camped at Gunnison KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section), Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice new facilities and concrete pads. Plenty of space. Not too much shade, but great views of the Colorado National Monument - and you're in the best location to drive or bike the Rim Road. There was even a free concert in the park one night. You are near the Interstate, but it's quite quiet. We camped at James M. Robb-Colorado River State Park (Fruita Section) in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Village RV Resort, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Great views of the mountains if you get the sites up top. Since it was not crowded we could get lots of space around our site, which was the main advantage since sites are quite basic. There is some construction going in that may diminish the views. Go now! We camped at Country Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park, Prior Lake, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

From the level spacious concrete pads, to the nice green space and immaculate grounds, this place is well done. Easy access to the Mystic Lake Casino if that is your thing, or over to a huge fitness club with pool and gym if you'd rather go that route. They even have an RV-wash on site, and a great storm shelter if the weather gets too wacky. And it was really quiet! We camped at Dakotah Meadows RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This camp is near I-90 and easy to get to but not too noisy. There is lots of green space and trees. Pool looked nice. We biked into Jackson and enjoyed the little bike trail there. A fine stopover spot. We camped at Jackson KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Arlington River Resort, Newburg, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Considering it had been fully flooded 2 months ago the park has made a great comeback. They are still graveling roads, and some sites are closed, but the access road is all paved (don't know what the earlier posts referred to). Pool was open, but landscaping needed to be done. And they could upgrade the dumps a bit. But look for this place to only get better. We camped at Arlington River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
