We have family relations in Augusta and this is a great park for us. Probably for anyone. It is a converted mobile home park but after 30 years, you'd never know it. The owner is great and was very nice on the phone and when we arrived. We have a 40' motor home and wanted satellite access which was no problem. Since we were only there for a night, he put us into a new gravel site with a nice concrete pad for the picnic table . Sewer and water and new 50 amp pedestal all worked fine. I had my own Verizon mifi and it worked very well. Very fast. This beats our last stay in the area which was a long way out of town at the COE park. Much more convenient and less cost. Plus the campground is in a steady state of improvement with new, wide and level sites going in all the time. The owner knows what he is doing and we will stay here again. I recommend it highly.

Great park with plenty of room between sites. Level site with campfire was nice. Even was able to get a satellite signal through the trees for our TV. Liked the history and museum on the property. The hiking trails were good, but could have used a sign or two to improve the markings. Recommend getting the hiking map from the ranger at checkin. Florida knows how to do their State Parks. We love them and can't wait to see more of them. We would camp here again.

Great park but at $40.29 a night it is more than we like to pay and why I rated at only a 7. The park is a great one and far different than we remember 15 years ago when we camped in a tent. Very nice sites that can accommodate even our 40' motor home. The beach is great, the pier is great and the volunteers and park ranger are great! We had mail sent here and it was hand delivered by the ranger at 6:10 PM which was nice touch. There almost no chance you can get satellite TV but the digital antennae works fine and we got to see the World Series so we were happy. Love the camp fires, the beach and the place. About the only thing that needs some work are the deteriorating roads. They need some new asphalt. Great location.

Nice new campground. Level and flat concrete pads at each site. Friendly person on the phone and at the office. Grass was cut while we were there, trash was emptied 3 times (all in one week.) Campground layout is questionable. One big loop with 1-way traffic pattern. Sites have plenty of space between them. 1 way road is narrow. Only place to unhook is in the 1 way road. Dump station (if you need it, is on the wrong side. No parking at the office. None. Laundry is way to small. Only 2 rusted washers, 1 of which is not working. Very little signage on the property including into the campground. Another example of contracts getting a campground built but not having a very good idea of how campers operate. Sad for a new campground that could be a good one if it were built and run by people who knew what they were doing and/or knew how to get things done. We pulled in to a site and got all set up only to find that the 50 amp was not working. Not sign, no hint to that effect. We were there over a week and don't know if it got fixed. The laundry is a complete embarrassment. Old machines -- at least they ought to get them swapped out and working!

Nice park with lots of tent camping and full hookups all mixed together. We camped over the Labor Day weekend and it was full. But no issues even though a lot of people. Wonderful grass areas - all mowed. Dirt roads in some areas though need attention. No trash bins anywhere near campsites for some reason. Never seen that before but trash is 1/2 mi from the campsite near the front gate. Very odd. Very nice place but $43 a night is way above our budget. We would have to think about it before we camped here again.

Great park. Nice sites with fire rings. Only reason I didn't rate it higher was the high price for basic boondocking. No water, sewer, or electric at the sites. Water fill up at the entrance and also near the recycles. Beautiful ponies and easy access to a great beach. Plenty to do if you like bike riding, hiking and beach time. We would camp here again.

Very nice campground. Sites are big with plenty of space between them. I like the fact the grass gets mowed regularly. Good option for the DC area. We would do so again.

Good park. Perfect for our two night stay. Easy access, level campsite and full hookups. Pull through site made set up very easy. Right across the parking lot from Gander Mountain. Other shopping nearby. Reasonable price and no hassles whatsoever. We recommend it and would stay here again.

This is a great park with exceptionally nice restrooms and showers. The sites are spacious and there is plenty of room between them so you have some privacy. I loved the birding walk near the campground at the trailhead which was conducted by a knowledgable birder. The Nature Trail and hiking trails are great. We will be back!

This park was good. We had a great place to launch out from and see nearby Jerome, Montezuma's Castle and Sedona. The sites were a little closer than we like but not too bad. It was quiet most of the time, but it was a good change for us to hear the families and kids enjoying camping out instead of the 55+ campgrounds we are normally used to. Some site were a little (I mean little, not severe) uneven so we blocked under our front tire and had no issues. I loved the fact that we had a campfire. We will be back and see more of the area and take more hikes.

We like it here and normally don't stay in the area where sites are tight. I don't like it when I can here conversations and TV in the rig next to us. That happens often here in the busy season. We would stay in the new area next time instead of near the showers which we did for our overnight guests. This is a well-run and top notch campground and we will be back.

First time in a LARGE snowbird campground. But we thought it was good. In fact, it was a great experience. The other 'residents' were one of the most friendly groups we have ever experienced. Resort had more amenities than we have ever seen. Two great pools and lots of activities. Sites were a bit close but not as close as some we have had. Neighbors were great and I liked the individual trash and recycle bins. Two laundry rooms made it great. Never had to wait for a washer or dryer. We would stay here again.

Just did not care for this campground. Camp hosts not all that helpful or friendly and mostly sold wood. Information said site would accommodate a 40 foot motor home but we had to rearrange and move the coach our second day there in order to park car so it would not be on tree roots. Very dense trees coverage so no satellite. Nice hike around the lake and other campers were friendly so our stay was fine. Just probably wouldn't do it again there. Oregon has a lot of nice state parks. We went through a number of campgrounds on day trips from there and would pick another one next time.

The price was right and we stayed for days. Our first impression of the place was that it was run down. Despite that, there were some signs of maintenance being done - the lawn was mowed and the fence and building might have had recent paint. The laundry was good - $3 for a load to wash/dry. The location was good. We took day trips into the redwoods from here. But we didn't like the area. Seems as if the town is still on the rebound and trying to improve things. Lots of poverty and homeless people so we felt uneasy the whole time there. Not sure if we'd do it again.

Decent campground with adequate facilities. We have full hookups (water/sewer/50 amp electric) and the camp sites are fine. They are level and there is plenty of room between sites. The grass is mowed, which is always a plus. At $26/night it was a good stopover. We stayed two nights as we make our way down Highway 101 from Oregon. Glad we found this place; some of the others that we have seen don't look that good. It was Saturday night at the races which was very noisy until about 10 PM. But that didn't overshadow the fact that we would stay here again.
