Nice campground but too many detractors for us to return. First the cost: $35 was a little high but with the $5 entry fee - $40 was too much. No Wi-Fi or telephone service so we had to go into town which was 13 miles away to connect. Our satellite worked fine for TV. The steep 10% grade into the campsite was no problem for our 40' motorhome. The campsite itself was nice with water and electric. The dump station nearby was also very nice. Our hike into one of the many trails was excellent as was the scenery. Loved the howls of the coyotes at night and the wild turkeys and birds. And the Visitor Center was very good with displays and a Civilian Conservation Corps area which I enjoyed. It was a very beautiful place but we will not return to camp but find a different campground.

Like this RV park. Our third visit over the years and still very nice. We got a site near the fountains and enjoyed being near everything. Used the laundry and noticed the office has a little snack bar that delivers pizza! Nice sized gift shop/store with great facilities and pool. Expanded one side of the building and added a salon and another laundry room. Easy access off the highway. We'll be back!

Like the mowed grass and the landscaping. The new gravel at some sites was a plus. I liked that fact we had plenty of space to back in and also park our car. Each site had plenty of room. Campground has a lot of longer term folks but no problem for us overnighters. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good place and we will be back.

These folks know what they are doing. Though many campsites were long stay persons, there were plenty of short term campers like us. We got a concrete hardstand and had no issues with our satellite. Hookups all fine. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Is a great stop for us to see family and friends in the area and we will be back!

Great find off I-20. Excellent place for overnight stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent concrete sites with ample parking. No problem with Internet and Wi-Fi. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground but it was higher than we like to pay and the road to get to the campground was full of patched potholes. We drove slowly and had no problem, but I didn't like the fact that it was a ways off the highway and the county(?) road was in poor shape. Then when we got to the very nice campground, I though the price was a little high. It was almost empty but the office, clubhouse and grounds were very nice. The laundry was nearby which we used and I loved the fact that it was a well-maintained facility. The high cost and roads (not much they can do about it I realize) made me rate it so low. We probably would return.

An older park that is getting ready for the summer traffic. Nice park with lots of space. Appreciated the lower mower who mowed our area when we came in. Lots of nice hiking, near to an excellent bike trail and a small beach. We enjoyed our evenings around the campfire and went on a hike. We would camp there again.

Nice place with lots of campground activities. Nice area to fish, gazebo, kayaking, swimming pool. Hookups and sewer were good. No issues getting to campground from I-95. Very nice campground although high rate than we like to pay. We would stay here again.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Office help friendly and helpful. Escorted to our campsite and they also brought firewood to our campsite. We stayed near the lake but not exactly on it. Was a nice pleasant evening. Connections and sewer were fine. Site was not entirely level but we managed fine. We would return.

We have family relations in Augusta and this is a great park for us. Probably for anyone. It is a converted mobile home park but after 30 years, you'd never know it. The owner is great and was very nice on the phone and when we arrived. We have a 40' motor home and wanted satellite access which was no problem. Since we were only there for a night, he put us into a new gravel site with a nice concrete pad for the picnic table . Sewer and water and new 50 amp pedestal all worked fine. I had my own Verizon mifi and it worked very well. Very fast. This beats our last stay in the area which was a long way out of town at the COE park. Much more convenient and less cost. Plus the campground is in a steady state of improvement with new, wide and level sites going in all the time. The owner knows what he is doing and we will stay here again. I recommend it highly.

Great park with plenty of room between sites. Level site with campfire was nice. Even was able to get a satellite signal through the trees for our TV. Liked the history and museum on the property. The hiking trails were good, but could have used a sign or two to improve the markings. Recommend getting the hiking map from the ranger at checkin. Florida knows how to do their State Parks. We love them and can't wait to see more of them. We would camp here again.

Great park but at $40.29 a night it is more than we like to pay and why I rated at only a 7. The park is a great one and far different than we remember 15 years ago when we camped in a tent. Very nice sites that can accommodate even our 40' motor home. The beach is great, the pier is great and the volunteers and park ranger are great! We had mail sent here and it was hand delivered by the ranger at 6:10 PM which was nice touch. There almost no chance you can get satellite TV but the digital antennae works fine and we got to see the World Series so we were happy. Love the camp fires, the beach and the place. About the only thing that needs some work are the deteriorating roads. They need some new asphalt. Great location.

Nice new campground. Level and flat concrete pads at each site. Friendly person on the phone and at the office. Grass was cut while we were there, trash was emptied 3 times (all in one week.) Campground layout is questionable. One big loop with 1-way traffic pattern. Sites have plenty of space between them. 1 way road is narrow. Only place to unhook is in the 1 way road. Dump station (if you need it, is on the wrong side. No parking at the office. None. Laundry is way to small. Only 2 rusted washers, 1 of which is not working. Very little signage on the property including into the campground. Another example of contracts getting a campground built but not having a very good idea of how campers operate. Sad for a new campground that could be a good one if it were built and run by people who knew what they were doing and/or knew how to get things done. We pulled in to a site and got all set up only to find that the 50 amp was not working. Not sign, no hint to that effect. We were there over a week and don't know if it got fixed. The laundry is a complete embarrassment. Old machines -- at least they ought to get them swapped out and working!

Nice park with lots of tent camping and full hookups all mixed together. We camped over the Labor Day weekend and it was full. But no issues even though a lot of people. Wonderful grass areas - all mowed. Dirt roads in some areas though need attention. No trash bins anywhere near campsites for some reason. Never seen that before but trash is 1/2 mi from the campsite near the front gate. Very odd. Very nice place but $43 a night is way above our budget. We would have to think about it before we camped here again.

Great park. Nice sites with fire rings. Only reason I didn't rate it higher was the high price for basic boondocking. No water, sewer, or electric at the sites. Water fill up at the entrance and also near the recycles. Beautiful ponies and easy access to a great beach. Plenty to do if you like bike riding, hiking and beach time. We would camp here again.
