About rwarner22

Full timers since May 2009. We live in our 40' 2007 Tiffin Allegro Bus. We have stayed in a lot of military campgrounds and a good number of commercial ones. Our budget calls for $25 / night and we have averaged $21.63.

Decent campground, nothing really noteworthy. Gravel all throughout, level sites. WiFi decent, laundry good. Small store, small office. Small pool. Easy access off I-70

Lot of upgrades underway. I liked the gravel all over. Sites were spacious. WiFi was excellent. In this day and age they figured it out at a pretty large campground. Impressive. Price was not and the major reason I downgraded my rating. Great location to lots of trails and not far from town. Very convenient. Pool was under repair during 100+ degree weather - another reason for the downgrade. Laundry was great. Ask for the front row. We like our spot on the end. Seemed like we were out in the country with that view. Arches in the distance are great.

Office staff fine. Wi-Fi OK most of the time, which is pretty good at campgrounds these days. My Verizon MiFi did not work here. AT&T phone service worked pretty well. View was very nice from site #11. Price was good during high summer season. Very close to Capitol Reef National Monument. Lots of detractors, though that are fairly easy I would think to solve: site not level, trees not trimmed, place looks a little dumpy with clutter on the front porch and in the office area, entry into the place is dirt and gravel with lots of potholes. Satellite worked because we moved a little forward in our site. Barely enough room for car. Looks like they are clearing an area. Don't think I'd return to this one.

This is our type of place. Family owned, quaint older motel/campground built in the 1950's. But it has been updated and is in great shape. Grass mowed and vegetable garden looking good. Fresh coat of paint on the bath house and in-progress on the motel. Gravel throughout and level sites. Large trees but we were able to move forward in site #6 enough to get DirecTV on our top mounted satellite. The whole grounds have a family type of feeling. Have two groups in here now that are camping together. Love the price, love the location to the National Parks and would come here again. Though a bit tight for our big rig, we'd still come back and stay here. Bathrooms and showers are clean and neat.

Campground was OK for a few days to see Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We didn't use the inside pool. The laundry had plenty of washers and dryers and was reasonable. Wi-Fi and Internet on MiFi worked fine. We might stay here again since we had no issues. But think we'd really like the campground at Lake Powell.

Great campground. Though pricey, it was worth every penny. Site was level and no issues with Wifi, or satellite TV. View was great. Campground, office, store and pool was immaculate. Grounds were very well maintained. Place had lots of personality and accommodated campers in RVs, TeePees, cabins. Some longer term folks on one side but very orderly and neat. Got firewood delivered to site and had a couple nice campfires overlooking the mesa and valley below. We don't like to spend that much on a campground usually but this was worth every penny.

Good park. Great location for touring Monument Valley. Site was level and I like the fact the maintenance folks were out and working on the grounds. Everything was fine. We picked up the tour right at the campground office. Office staff was friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi on the grounds was limited. My MiFi worked fine. I downgraded this a bit because the choices are limited and the prices are high. But we'd still come back again.

Stayed in the newer gravel area again. Plenty of room and all sites are level. Love the gravel which is nice when it rains. Great location from I-40.

Nice campground but too many detractors for us to return. First the cost: $35 was a little high but with the $5 entry fee - $40 was too much. No Wi-Fi or telephone service so we had to go into town which was 13 miles away to connect. Our satellite worked fine for TV. The steep 10% grade into the campsite was no problem for our 40' motorhome. The campsite itself was nice with water and electric. The dump station nearby was also very nice. Our hike into one of the many trails was excellent as was the scenery. Loved the howls of the coyotes at night and the wild turkeys and birds. And the Visitor Center was very good with displays and a Civilian Conservation Corps area which I enjoyed. It was a very beautiful place but we will not return to camp but find a different campground.

Like this RV park. Our third visit over the years and still very nice. We got a site near the fountains and enjoyed being near everything. Used the laundry and noticed the office has a little snack bar that delivers pizza! Nice sized gift shop/store with great facilities and pool. Expanded one side of the building and added a salon and another laundry room. Easy access off the highway. We'll be back!

Like the mowed grass and the landscaping. The new gravel at some sites was a plus. I liked that fact we had plenty of space to back in and also park our car. Each site had plenty of room. Campground has a lot of longer term folks but no problem for us overnighters. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good place and we will be back.

These folks know what they are doing. Though many campsites were long stay persons, there were plenty of short term campers like us. We got a concrete hardstand and had no issues with our satellite. Hookups all fine. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Is a great stop for us to see family and friends in the area and we will be back!

Great find off I-20. Excellent place for overnight stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent concrete sites with ample parking. No problem with Internet and Wi-Fi. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice campground but it was higher than we like to pay and the road to get to the campground was full of patched potholes. We drove slowly and had no problem, but I didn't like the fact that it was a ways off the highway and the county(?) road was in poor shape. Then when we got to the very nice campground, I though the price was a little high. It was almost empty but the office, clubhouse and grounds were very nice. The laundry was nearby which we used and I loved the fact that it was a well-maintained facility. The high cost and roads (not much they can do about it I realize) made me rate it so low. We probably would return.

An older park that is getting ready for the summer traffic. Nice park with lots of space. Appreciated the lower mower who mowed our area when we came in. Lots of nice hiking, near to an excellent bike trail and a small beach. We enjoyed our evenings around the campfire and went on a hike. We would camp there again.
