Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2008 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here because we have some friends that come every year, now we see why. We had ample room on each side of our camper with the slides out. The campers on the row behind us were pretty close, but it didn't cause us any problems. The roads are paved which was great for bike riding. The bath house was very clean with piped in music and nature sounds which I thought was nice, they were very clean although the shower that I used could have been cleaner. The campground is convenient to all the attractions and outlet malls. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals in a Fifth Wheel.

Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA, Trenton, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We had a pull-thru site right next to the playground and jumping pillow which was great for the kids. The playground has recently been redone and is very nice. I didn't like the fact that you had to pay extra to get on the jumping pillow. The current owner is in the process of making improvements to the entire campground. The bathhouse is small and needed a good cleaning. The pool was clean. Overall it is a pretty piece of property, but we thought the rates were overpriced for what you get. We camped at Lookout Mtn. / Chattanooga West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed the close proximity of the beach. The bathhouses were absolutely spotless! The roads are all paved, which was nice for bike riding. The sites are spaced well apart, especially the pull-through ones. We would definitely camp here again!!! We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I was disappointed to find that we had reserved a "premium" pull-through site, and it didn't even have a concrete pad, although several of the others did (for the same price). The sites are very close together. After we extended our slides it felt as though we were on top of the neighboring sites. Also, every time I turned on the hair dryer the breaker tripped, even after everything else was unplugged which was very annoying. The campground has had the same owners for the past 15 years and have recently spent some money to clean the place up a bit. They have a large open field that would be perfect for some more spaced out sites. The playground was pathetic, it consisted of a wooden treehouse type structure with two slides, the swings (all 4 of them) were on the other side of the campground. All in all it was fine. But we will probably check out some other places before we stay there again. We camped at Raccoon Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
