We used this park for an over night stay. It was a FHU w/cable, very clean and level site. I do think its was a little over priced. The park was right off I80 there was road noise however it was not at a level to be bothersome. We were lead to our site.

Date of Stay:

This is a FHU city park. The sites are very, very close, I was between to class a's and my 5th wheel slide out almost touched theirs. No room for awning or anything else. There was no picnic table of course no room for one. The sites were level, but short. At this time its a cash or check operation no credit cards. The host did take me to the site and directed my backing. As for tv do not plan on watching much you do get a few.

First off this used to be the Gothenberg KOA. Their idea of drive thru sites is go through another site to get to yours. It works but not a true drive thru. The sites are just large enough to stay hooked up for an over night (35') truck and trailer. The grounds were unkept, the pool was drained so no idea if it was even working. To me this looked like a park people bought and then got in way over their heads. For an over night stop its ok if no other in the area.

Let me start out by saying this park does have WiFi, however you have to pay to use. There are 4 sites per electric pole but only room for 2 rigs. Parking is on grass, but fairly level. Dump station a different set-up, it's a pull in and back out. It's not user friendly. Stayed there with a club, as a single unit I would not return.

It would have been nice to have water hook up, guess I am spoiled. The park has all asphalt pad that were level. Great over air tv and cell service. The park was very clean and peacefully. I would stay there again.

We stayed in site 52 right on the lake. All the sites are divided with trees, which I think makes it great. We were taken to our site. As the lake sites are harder to get into with my rig (36' 5th wheel), a staff member backed my rig in, which was great! Great location for all the Mackinaw things plus a short drive to Sault St. Marie. I would stay there again.

Yes there are Geese however did not have an issue with them in the park its self. In driving into the park I noticed the waste treatment plant and thought the worst, however never did smell anything. Maybe the wind was blowing the other way. The park is well taken care of and a great spot for long term or over night, as I did. I would stay there again!

I was with a group, thus the comment about parking on grass. Most of their sites are flat gravel. FREE fire wood (large amount) is delievered to your sight. Park also has river rafting which is great.

Date of Stay:

This is a city owned park, with over 75% seasonal spots. This makes it hard for people just to come and camp for the weekend. No fire wood is offered so you have purchase from local vendors. My biggest complaint is with the electrical, I plugged into 50amp service and my meter was reading 108 at best. For this reason I plan on staying away from this park.

This is a great FSU county park. The pads are long and for the most part level. This may be the only county park in Iowa that gives a $2.00 discount for having an America the Beautiful card.

Other than convent to pikes peak etc. I found nothing great about this park. It had cable however it did not work, when I asked why I was told about 3 weeks ago it went out and they just have not repaired it yet. The water faucet was so close to the ground I had to dig a little trench so the regulator would fit. I doubt if I would stay in this park again.

I found this park conveniently located just outside of the city of Custer. Easy access to all that the Custer area has to offer. The park was well run, clean and family friendly. The cable and WiFi both were up and operational. I will return to this park.

New owners with a lot of good plans. The pull-thru sites are somewhat close but level. Wi-Fi ok, over air tv also ok. Would stay again.

This park was a very friendly place to stay, all of the staff were great. We were taken to our site, lined up for the best sewer hookup and explained when and were to put the trash. They have a nice lake to walk around, all of the park was clean and comfortable to be in. I would stay there again.

The park has all concrete pads with a pad for the picnic table. Very friendly staff who takes you to your site. Firewood has to be purchased at the park, $1o.00 for a wheel barrel load. Over the air TV is OK at best. The park does have Wi-Fi for a $3.oo weekend charge. We will return to this park.
