Lead Hill COE, Mountain Home, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park overlooking Bull Shoals Lake. Not all sites are lake front, but all have a lake view. The only complaint we've ever had was when the park was closed due to flooding behind the Bull Shoals dam! Park is also quite close (35 miles) to Branson, MO, but away from the hub-bub. We camped at Lead Hill COE in a Travel Trailer.

Hillsborough River State Park, Thonotosassa, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We really love this park. The towering live oaks and palmetto make you feel that you have gone back in time to old Florida! Floating down the river in a kayak or canoe is one of the most peaceful experiences you can find a few minutes away from Tampa and Orlando. The campsites vary a lot in size and accessibility - so read the driveway length notations carefully. We camped at Hillsborough River State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Big, well maintained sites. Clean, modern rest rooms. Very nice hiking trails and places to ride bikes. Almost every site is accessible to any type of rig. Sites are also private and well maintained. We camped at Silver Springs State Park (formerly Silver River State Park) in a Travel Trailer.
