Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Horrible roads in the campground on rows E, F and G. You pay 57 dollars per night and have an adventure getting home every night. The staff is very friendly. The back-in sites are almost level, but very short and narrow. The RV of your 'backdoor' neighbor is almost touching your RV and the sitting area is about 100 sq. feet. The sites are extremely tight. No phone coverage, no Wi-Fi. I had to wait 15 minutes for a shower. No line however, at 5pm. Laundry good. Wifi and cell horrible. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (Concessionaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you need anything during your stay go to the town of West Yellowstone. It is just outside the exit from the park and you will save a lot of money and get what you need. Groceries, clothing, toiletries, etc.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed at Portal RV Resort in July, 2016. I was very happy here. The check in was easy and smooth. They were ready to answer any questions I had, and any questions I did not know I needed to ask. They gave us lots of info about the town. Kudos. They seemed to be happy to see us. All the sites are all pull through. However, when reserving an RV spot ask for a tree nearby because you are in the desert and a tree is very helpful. The trees are not completely mature.

The dog park area was great! My dog loved being off leash. The grass was really soft and my dog loved rolling around in it. The showers were a temporary trailer shower system, but they were working on a permanent shower building. And the construction on that was timed not to disturb the guests.

The maintenance personnel were polite and helpful. We had a low tire on our trailer when we got here and had to ask a young maintenance man where to go to get the tire fixed in town.

Oh yeah: the pool and spa are not available to everybody. I love swimming but if it is not moving or managed I not going. They do have a pond for swimming but not for me. Overall great experience. I was very happy. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
